  • Patch 1.033 is now live! - 27 April 2026

Hi everyone! Just a very quick update to fix a critical issue which was preventing players accessing the DLC level packs (even though they owed them). Sorry to all players who were affected by the issue, it should now be fixed and you should be able to play the level packs. If anyone still has problems accessing the DLCs, let me know! - Nutter

  • Welcome New Players! - 31 October 2024

Hi everyone, This is just a quick message to say welcome and thank you to all the new players who have added the game to their libraries since it went free to play. You've absolutely blown me away with how many of you there are. Over 5000 new players in the first two days is crazy! It's amazing to see so many people enjoying the game and even submitting levels to the workshop so I just wanted to send out a quick thanks to everyone. That being said, we still haven't hit 10 reviews yet which means the game isn't anywhere near as visible on the steam store as it would be with just a couple more reviews, so if you are enjoying the game it would make a massive difference to just spend those 30 seconds leaving a review for the game. Once the game hits 10 reviews and gets a review score we can probably double that number of new players so i'd really REALLY appreciate anyone taking the time to…

  • Patch 1.03 is now live! - 28 October 2024

Hi everyone! As promised patch 1.03 is here and with it comes the release of the new Outbreak! Level pack as well as the free to play release of the base game. Blobbs: Outbreak! is a brand new level pack i've been working on over the last 6 months or so and offers a whole new 70* levels of zombie filled puzzles to solve, just in time for halloween. For the first time in the Blobbs series, this level pack also features a branching storyline where you can choose to either stop the outbreak by helping researchers research a cure for the infected blobbs, or take the more aggressive option and join the military destroy the outbreak with as much firepower as they can muster. With this branch in the story, the level pack has a total of 70 levels and two different versions of the final boss so needless to say it's definitely been most complicated level pack developed for the game so far. But th…

  • Blobbs Remastered is going free to play! - 28 September 2024

Hi everyone! So there's a lot of news to cover with this post so lets start with the big one! Blobbs Remastered is going free to play! Now just to be clear, when I say the Blobbs Remastered is going free to play, i'm referring to the base game, specifically the 50 levels that make up the Reloaded level pack. The Elemental Mayhem and Mad Science level packs, along with the new one i'll be revealing in this update post will still be (optional) paid content. Why go free to play and why now? To be totally upfront and honest with you all, Blobbs hasn't really taken off. It's sold quite a few copies, more than I expected if i'm honest, but certainly not enough to make back all of it's development costs. And that's totally okay, I make these games as a hobby for the most part and i'm lucky enough that i'll still be able to keep doing it even if my next game doesn't sell a million copies. Micro…

  • Patch 1.02 is now live! - 5 April 2024

Hi everyone! It's been a little while since there was any Blobbs related news on here, but whilst it might have seemed like i'd just released the game and vanished after patch 1.01a, i've actually been quietly working away on some new stuff which I hope to reveal later in the year. For now, i'm releasing Patch 1.02 which fixes a few issues I noticed and adds functionality for the new stuff. Most of it is under the hood that you probably shouldn't even notice, but here's a list of changes for anyone interested. Bug Fixes: Fixed Green Blobbs not being able to be spawned in the level editor (and possibly other places) on April 20th (due an unanticipated side-effect of the 4/20 Easter Egg). Fixed an issue with the Music Player which was sometimes causing new tracks to start before the previous one finished. New Additions: Two new types of Blobbs have been added to the Level Editor, consider…

  • Patch 1.01 is now live! - 23 July 2022

Hey everyone! It's been just short of two weeks since the game launched as the dust has just about settled. It appears I was lucky enough to have not missed any major bugs in the 1.00 release which makes this 1.01 patch pretty minor in terms of bug fixes. The one thing this patch will improve however, is the difficulty of a few of the levels in the Remastered, Mad Science and Elemental Mayhem level packs. Whilst I did intend for the difficulty of levels to ramp up and become more challenging as you progressed through each level pack, there are a few stand out levels where the difficulty "spiked" a little too much and created a lot of frustration for some players. Obviously we play games to have fun, and whilst a little challenge can still be fun, banging your head against a wall over and over because a level is frustratingly difficult isn't most people's idea of fun (myself included). T…
