Although I have had a couple of rough years, and development has been slow, I have finally reached a point where I can share some progress with you. First, I want to say that I am really sorry for the delay and going completely silent. - Shibainu VR Katana Simulator Development Update - 21 December 2022
Hello everyone, I wanted to give you all an update on the development of Shibainu. I know many of you have been waiting for more updates, and I apologize for the delays. I am happy to report that the work is well underway and making great progress. One of the main goals for the next update is the port to Unreal Engine 5. However, the process is taking longer than I initially anticipated. But I assure you, the wait will be worth it! The new Unreal Engine 5 will bring some exciting new features to the game. Some of the highlights include advanced procedural cuts, optimization in several systems, a wider variety of targets to challenge your skills, and new game modes to keep things fresh and interesting. Version 0.4.6 New Added localization for Spanish and Japanese. Modified Disabled AA Upsampling for FSR 2.0 due to crashing on some systems. Changed VFX, position and rotation of menu pointer. Bug Fixes Overall performance improvements. Overall improvements for cut detection.

Version 0.4.3 Modified Modified FSR settings for better performance. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue that caused that targets were being cut but not registered as a good or bad. Fixed master audio volume in background when using virtual desktop.

Version 0.3.2 New Added additional Graphics, Audio and Game settings. Added Control Mappings for Cosmos (need to validate). Modified SFX for good and bad hits when playing waves mode. Bug Fixes Fixed some bugs with SFX in UI. Fixed logic for music in waves mode. Fixed rotation bugs when using in-game camera. Removed OpenXR and Oculus plugins due to issues with SteamVR plugin.
- Early Access Release date Changed: July 11. - 26 June 2022
Hello there everyone! The early access release of Shibainu VR Katana Simulator has moved from June 27th to July 11th. This was primarily due to an overlapping schedule with the steam summer sale; which would have negatively impacted the game's visibility (game releases doesn’t get promoted during this period). We will use these two weeks to polish the build and QA; while trying to add some features that should help with performance. And in the meantime, we are releasing an updated version of the FREE demo, which will be available from June 28th until July 3rd. We thank you all for your patience and support!
