- Dev Diary #4: On Hub Zones - 16 December 2025
Cosmo D here. I've posted the fourth Dev Diary for my next game, Moves of the Diamond Hand. This delves into the creation of the hub zone for the game, a city block. Hub zones offer a myriad of design and technical challenges. But with that challenge comes great opportunities for emergent dice-driven exploration and fun. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2778210/view/514102575975368963 Till next time, – Cosmo D ps: You can experience a scoped version of this (and a preview of the street) for yourself in the demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2778240/Moves_Of_The_Diamond_Hand_Demo/
- Dev Diary #3: Disguises in Moves Of The Diamond Hand - 3 September 2025
Cosmo D here. I've posted the third Dev Diary for my next game, Moves of the Diamond Hand. This delves into the disguise system for the game, and how you can use it to craft unique and powerful dice as you navigate all manner of treachery. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2778210/view/534359891812287244 Till next time, – Cosmo D ps: You can experience a scoped version of this for yourself in the demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2778240/Moves_Of_The_Diamond_Hand_Demo/
- Dev Diary #2: Wandering Agents in Moves Of The Diamond Hand - 11 July 2025
Cosmo D here. I've posted the second Dev Diary for my next game, Moves of the Diamond Hand. This diary goes into depth on a new gameplay element in this game - wandering agents who patrol certain areas of the game, similar to guards in an immersive sim. But how you interact with them builds on Club Low and the Diamond Hand demo - with dice, of course. https://steamcommunity.com/games/2778210/announcements/detail/534354183830114361 Thank you for continuing on this journey with me. – Cosmo D ps: You can experience a scoped version of this for yourself in the demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2778240/Moves_Of_The_Diamond_Hand_Demo/
- Devlog 1: Dice Drama in Moves of the Diamond Hand - 20 June 2025
Cosmo D here. I just shared the first devlog for my next game, Moves of the Diamond Hand. If you’ve played Betrayal at Club Low, this one builds on that same chaotic spirit—but with a deeper, more flexible dice system centered on tension, storytelling, and strategy. And if you’ve played my earlier games: we’re back in first-person! It’s a melding—and deepening—of all the elements. This post is all about dice drama: how I simulate rolls, why I love having too many dice, and how each one tells its own little story. You can read the full devlog here: 👉 https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2778210/view/624425002170586485 Thanks, as ever, for continuing on this journey with me. – Cosmo D
- My Next Game is Here: Moves Of The Diamond Hand – Play the Demo Now! - 21 February 2025
I'm thrilled to announce my next game, Moves Of The Diamond Hand—my biggest and most ambitious project yet. 🎲 Play the free demo now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2778240/Moves_Of_The_Diamond_Hand_Demo/ This Demo represents Chapter 1 of the game. It alone is roughly the length of Betrayal At Club Low and will be part of Steam Next Fest this coming week. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2778210/Moves_Of_The_Diamond_Hand/ This game brings together everything I’ve been building over the past ten years—refining my dice mechanics from Club Low while returning to the immersive first-person perspective of my earlier work. Thanks for your support thus far, and I'm looking forward to continuing on this journey with you!

- 1.07 + Club Low Wins IGF Nuovo and Seamus McNally Grand Prize! - 24 March 2023
Betrayal At Club Low made a strong showing at the 25th Annual Independent Games Festival this week, walking away with two major awards - the Nuovo and the Seamus McNally Grand Prize. I'm incredibly honored to have gotten these awards and I thank everyone here for their continued support and enthusiasm for my games. Wow! While on the show floor, however, I did catch one bug, which I've hotfixed today. 1.07 Clicking on pizza upgrades when you're not at the oven will now trigger a reminder message. That's it! If you do find any lingering issues in the new build, post in the comments below.

It was one of this year's frontrunners in terms of nominations , winning all but one of the awards it was up for this year. The other nomination was for Excellence In Design, which went to the also excellent The Case Of The Golden Idol , proving that, yep, once again the RPS Advent Calendar is at the forefront of great indie taste-making. - 1.06 + IGF Nomination - 8 February 2023
Hi everyone. This patch has just one bullet, but it's helpful if you want to play the game at a lower difficulty. Fixed a bug where if you loaded a save after restarting the game and had more than 5 health, it would not display the 6th or 7th health tokens. Reloading would fix this, but now it works accross the board. In other news, Betrayal At Club Low has been nominated for three IGF awards, including the Seamus McNally Grand Prize. I'm amazed at the recognition, and the journey this game's been on thus far. Thanks for your continued support, as ever. And if you catch any new issues, please post them in the comments section below, or email support_at_cosmod_dot_net. -Cosmo D
