- AI Stories 1.22 - 29 August 2026
I changed the rendering engine from GLES3 to GLES2 and corrected the color changes in the Environment Node. This little change by itself has tripled the performance of the game. I added, yet again, allot of the unused assets I made for the game before I originally released it. I don’t like leaving assets and the effort invested into those unused. I also changed the Depth draw mode to “opaque only” of many materials. This ensures that the finer details and transparency of those materials is visible now.I additionally learned how to give my Godot games FPS counters and added the option to activate a little FPS counter in the upper left corner of the screen by pressing the wheel button of your mouse. You can activate the FPS counter this way and deactivate it again. I yet again gave the Steam page new screenshots of the game since the change to GLES2 has changed the color end result a bit.…
- AI Stories 1.21 - 8 August 2026
I removed the lost shuriken particles for the player character that where never visible anyway.I reduced the amount of particles that fall from the sky and other resources to the half for better performance.I removed a lot of unused and unnecessary holder game objects and internal collision objects that never collided with the player in the first place.I removed a few scripts I attached to some objects that did not do anything.I added the rotator script to one of the tori that was supposed to spin.I yet again fixed the render priority and flickering issues of a few objects.I removed the unnecessary double objects that overlapped each other that I found.I replaced the spinning flower 3D model with a more optimized model.I reduced the amount of needed objects of the blue and orange jump cubes from 4 to 3.I replaced the grid cube stack at the path towards Johns past home with only 2 grid c…
- AI Storis 1.20 - 4 May 2026
I added a non-functional link to my website, https://emirakyazisart.net/ , in the pause menu of the game.
- AI Stories 1.19 - 26 April 2026
Hello. Back then when I was drawing my assets for my first game, AI Stories, I have not implemented all of them into the first unity or later on Godot version. I have checked through the unused assets and implemented the majority of them into the game now. So that the effort I invested into painting those textures won’t go to waste. The game world is a bit more fuller now then it was before.I fixed a few graphical gliches as well. They caused some of the materials of the game to have black flickering spots before.I also reduced the render distance and removed overlapping objects that could not give a visual difference to save on performance.
- Change - 10 October 2025
Hello. I feel very uncomfortable that I have to write this, but it is sadly necessary. Due to the current political events happening in the USA, it is ethically not possible for me anymore to sell my games over a video game distribution service like steam. My games are often about peace, equality, kindness, environmentalism, empathy and everything that is just good. Things I want to stand for in real life as well. It has always been my childhood dream to make my own video games, open up my company as an adult, make allot of money with my games over steam and then basically save the world by donating very high amounts of money to charity. Without steam, it has become very difficult to achieve this goal of mine.I also went ahead and deleted my youtube channel I build for around 5 years. I almost achieved 1000 subscribers. As a funny side note, I made over 900 subscribers with my silly lit…
- Linux build - 21 June 2025
I finally learned how to upload a Linux build of my game onto steam.AI Stories can now be played on Linux mint 22.1. in a native way.I honestly don’t know if it also plays well on other Linux distributions. It is not a flat pack build. If you are facing compatibility issues on Linux, you can right click on the game in your steam library, go to properties, go to compatibility, activate “ Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool “ and then choose a runtime layer that works best for you. I chose the Steam Linux Runtime 3.0 ( sniper ) to be the default runtime for Linux.
- AI Stories 1.18.1 - 23 May 2025
I changed almost all variables from a dynamic programming style to a static one. This should lead to a bit of an improved performance. I also changed the full screen toggle to two different buttons for full screen or windowed. The game remembers the setting and automatically applies a full screen or windowed window size on start.
- AI Stories 1.18 - 4 October 2024
I finally learned how to add camera zooming in and zooming out to my third person games. You can now zoom in and out using the mouse wheel. If you want to see more of the whole game world, you can zoom out. If you want to have more of a first person experience, you can zoom in. Please wishlist my next game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/
- AI Stories 1.17.2 - 6 September 2024
I changed all update functions to fixed update. This should make the game more stable performance wise on weaker computers or when lag spikes occur. Please wishlist my next game: AI Stories: Machine Angel https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel
- AI Stories 1.17.1 - 18 August 2024
Just a little bug fix and lore continuity update. There was a bug where the camera could go beyond looking up and down, this is now fixed. I changed one of the messages of Aria a little bit to make sure the lore of the next AI Stories games is properly continous. Please wishlist my next game: AI Stories: Machine Angel https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/
- AI Stories 1.17 - 3 June 2024
I added a better Full-screen image above the Full-screen toggle that is more visible. The Full-screen Toggle is now set to on by default, so it’s not confusing. I added a white ring around the Resume, options and save and exit button in the pause menu to make sure the player sees that the button is selected. I also added 2 white rings around the play button in the seizure and incentive scene before the main game starts when the mouse hovers over the button. I gave all reset buttons in both the pause and the options menu an inverted color version to make sure the player sees that the button is selected, just like with the white rings. All the slider grabber icons now have an inverted color version when you hover over them. All these changes and additions have been added for a better and clearer communication towards the player for those menu items. Please Wishlist my next game, AI Storie…
- AI Stories 1.16 - 31 May 2024
I set the game resolution to 1920x1080, the Menu items are now a bit smaller. I deactivated VSync to allow higher FPS and less stuttering. I also added a © Emir Akyazi at the down right in the pause menu to prove I made it all. Please Wishlist my next game. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/
- AI Stories 1.15 - 25 April 2024
I added slider reset buttons to the music, sound, brightness and saturation sliders in the pause menu. I also changed the min value of the brightness slider to 0 and the max value to 1, if you want to play the game in complete darkness now, you can! The saturation slider can also now go down to 0. I also fixed a bug that caused the input letters of the key maps to be lower or upper case at certain moments, now they are all in upper case. The Mouse sensitivity slider can now be set to 0, if you want to play the game without using the mouse, you can do that now as well. I also set the pause menu and keymap menu to invisible by default to prevent them being visible for a split second upon game start. Please wishlist my next game: AI Stories: Machine Angel https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/
- AI Stories 1.14 - 16 April 2024
Just a small adjustment update that also adds a reset button for the new mouse sensitivity slider. Please wishlist my next game on Steam: AI Stories: Machine Angel https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/
- AI Stories 1.13 - 15 April 2024
I learned how to make a mouse sensitivity slider and added it to the game's key mapping sub-menu. If the camera is moving too slow or too fast for you, you can now make it move slower or faster with this new slider. I also gave all the sliders in the pause menu their own unique grabber icons that I forgot to give them. I have now added all the extra options I still wanted to add to the game. Please wishlist my next game: AI Stories: Machine Angel https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/
- AI Stories 1.12 - 9 April 2024
I added little reset buttons next to the key mapping fields. I always wanted to add key mapping to the game, I learned how to do that in the last 2 days and finally got it working. You can now remap every action in the game in the new options menu. Also, don't forget to wishlist my next game: AI Stories: Machine Angel https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/
- AI Stories 1.9 - 13 February 2024
The game is set around the stories of the 3 AI lifeforms, and not about the player character, which confused a few of my players. So, I have added a little entry message right at the spawn point that explains this and also gives a clear goal to achieve. Also, my next game, AI Stories: Machine Angel is already finished and released on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2801290/AI_Stories_Machine_Angel/ You can already wishlist it. Thank you for playing and much Love Emir Akyazi
- AI Stories 1.8 - 28 December 2023
I still had a few sound effects I made for the unity version, but never added to the Godot version. Until now! I added 5 Sound cubes to the Simulation, playing the little sound effects I made with real instruments. I also added a Sound slider to adjust the sound effects volume, of course. Happy new year and much love Emir Akyazi
