That should not be a problem anymore because Painting VR now has in-game tutorials! Those are several videos that teach you the ins and outs of Painting VR. You can access them by selecting the "i" icon next to your canvas. You can follow along while they're playing. 👨🎨Display Your Works👨🎨 Did you ever want to display your paintings and turn your virtual studio into a gallery? Now you can! Go to your in game portfolio, select a painting, press the button in the bottom right corner of the window and hang it on your wall! ⏩Quick Access Menu⏩ We added a quick access menu that you can use to Redo, Undo, Open Brush Settings, and Lock/Unlock All Objects. - Valve Index Hotfix - 22 April 2022
This hotfix addresses a problem reported where the hand rotation on the Valve Index did not match real life hand position. Both should now match. A big shoutout to the community for reporting the issue! Please do keep us informed about any problems you are encountering so we can keep addressing them.
- Movement Hotfix - 19 April 2022
Hotfix patch to address some of the issues with movement in the game. Strafing on HTC Vive is changed so the strafe button just needs to be held instead of having to be pressed repeatedly to be able to move Default thumbstick deadzone value in the settings menu is set to 0.25. This results in a more consistent teleporting response A few other smaller fixes Attention! If you already played Painting VR before this patch and you had some issues with the teleporting not always registering, you will have to tweak the thumbstick deadzone in the settings yourself! Here is how to do it: Open the main menu Switch to the Settings tab (4th tab with the cogwheel icon) Scroll all the way down Set the "Thumbstick Deadzone" value to something like 0.25 Done! Hello fellow painting partisan, We are beyond excited to announce that you can let your inner creative beast go wild! Painting VR is now available on the Steam and Oculus Store! For those wondering if there is a difference between the Quest version and the PCVR version, the answer is: yes! In the PCVR version, you can paint and export your paintings in 4K resolution. Need more pixels? PCVR is the way to go. If you need more mobility, then the Quest version might be more for you. You might also be wondering: what’s coming to Painting VR in the future? Well, how does a multi-user experience sound? At this very moment, the painting architects at Oisoi are drawing up how that experience would work. It will have support for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality (missing from the picture because our office Michelangelo is painting the Sistine Chapel in VR) and the Valve Index VR glasses and controllers!
