About this game
River Rush is a modern tribute to the classic vertical shoot ’em ups of the 1980s. Whether you have 15 minutes to spare or want to chase a new high score, River Rush delivers a quick, challenging arcade experience that is easy to start—but not so easy to master. Fly along the river, dodge dangerous terrain, destroy enemies, and keep a close eye on your fuel. When the action becomes chaotic, quick reflexes alone may not be enough. You will need to plan your attacks and choose the right weapon for every situation. You move with WAD or Arrows. Fire bullets with Space and rockets with N Survive by evading or destroying enemies. Keep an eye on fuel and avoid terrain that is not river. Your weapons for terminating enemies are laser bullets (like form old GI Joe and Transformers cartoons) plus rockets. Rockets are fired with delay of 0.4 sec so you have to think ahead when to use them. Classic vertical shoot ’em up gameplay inspired by arcade favorites such as River Raid, 1942, Harrier Attack, and Galaga Fast sessions with checkpoints approximately every 5 minutes 13 different enemy types, each requiring a different approach Laser bullets for rapid attacks Powerful rockets with a short firing delay that rewards careful timing Fuel management that keeps every run tense Colorful pixel art inspired by the games and cartoons of the 1980s Local leaderboard for chasing and beating high scores Simple keyboard controls—no mouse required Challenging gameplay that becomes increasingly chaotic if you do not plan ahead
