About this game
It Was You is a first-person multiplayer murder mystery party for 5-12 players. Upon arrival, party attendees will be given a role only known to them - Detective or Killer - and tools to manipulate, uncover, or plant evidence of a murder. Detectives use various investigation tools to uncover evidence, build a case, and vote to exile all the Killers. Killers work together to secretly murder the Detectives and deceive partygoers by manipulating the evidence of their crime with deception items . Key Features Acoustic Proximity Voice Chat: All sounds in It Was You, including player voice chat, echo the halls with realistic reverberation and occlusion. When a player enters a room and shuts the door, conversations from outside are naturally muffled, adding an unprecedented degree of immersion. Non-Player Guests : Killers must eliminate these NPCs first, creating a buffer that allows every detective to investigate and participate in the narrative before they risk becoming victims. Investigation Tools : Uncover fingerprints, footprints, or blood with various tools to help you get to the root of who among you is a killer. Deception Items & Abilities : Manipulate evidence and evade detection. Items like a spray bottle or tape will let you manipulate the crime scene by removing or planting fingerprints. Secret Passages : Slip away and cover your tracks. Use the concealed bookshelf in the library or discover one of the many other hidden passages. Premise Decked out in their favorite costumes, a group of friends gather at the abandoned Tylock Estate for a Halloween murder mystery party that promises to be life-changing. Excitement buzzes as the group shows off their costumes and dives head-first into an intricate mystery crafted for them by their friend - each of them assuming their assigned role of Detective or Killer. As the first round draws to a close, the game begins to take a dark turn.
