Dear Nature friends, November 11 is right around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited! In this last post before our Steam release, we want to highlight a feature of the game that we're incredibly proud of. The game's music and soundscape are incredibly important to us. They help set the right tone and atmosphere that we want to achieve. In order to take the music to a higher level, we partnered with ZHdK Zurich to re-record our music with a live orchestra. In our opinion, the new music really enhances the mood during gameplay and in cutscenes. We're very grateful to have gotten this opportunity. There is a lot more we'd love to show you, so a video with more behind-the-scenes footage will be released after launch. A huge thank you to our composer Jonas Roulet, conductor Mario García Ramos, and all the talented people at ZHdK Zurich who helped make this possible! We can't wait for…

- Rolling through the world - 7 May 2025
Dear adventurers, Today, we want to share a little bit about our Rock Ball mechanic, which replaces the 'sprinting' you might see in other games. Instead of running through the levels, the Golem turns into a literal Rock Ball. We've been working hard to make this transition feel as seamless as possible. 😊 Rolling around in Rock Ball form isn't just a fun way to get from point A to B, though. The animals in the world will definitely notice! Some of them might run off and act scared, as you're speeding towards them. More curious creatures might actually start rolling alongside you. The same thing applies to the environment. Rolling through a dandelion field spreads flower seeds everywhere. Certain rockpiles and trees can also be knocked over to progress through the level. It adds a different layer of interaction to the world. Another important part of traveling in Rock Ball form is momen…

- New Keyart! - 8 April 2025
Dear adventurers, We've recently revealed that the game will be called Unpetrified: Echoes of Nature. With this new name we felt it was time for a reimagined key art! Just to refresh your memory this is where we started: As we looked back at our original key art, we realized there were a few key elements we wanted to bring forward more clearly this time around. First and foremost, we wanted more vibrant colors to really capture the game's aesthetic. We also wanted to make sure that the Fox and Golem were front and center. Their journey really is the heart of the game, but you'll obviously still be able to meet the other animals as well! 😉 You might also be able to spot some 'happy flowers'. These unique collectibles will be visible on the Golem's back once you discover them. How many will you be able to collect? Last, but not least we wanted to give a glimpse of a new location. Without…

We feel that this new name really captures the essence of the game and the journey we're about to embark on. It's all about nature after all! There is a lot of exciting new content and a teaser video being worked on, but for today the focus is on our Golem protagonist. This little comic provides a first glimpse into this mysterious character. "Born again through magic, the Golem is deeply connected to the world around you. Its emotions are influenced by the environment in real time, shaping the weather, plants, and animals nearby." We'd love to hear what you think about the Golem and the name change. Thank your support and stay tuned, there’s so much more to come! 💛 — Dreamhunt Studio
