- v1.006 - 26 February 2024
Today we go live with our 6th patch since we launched. Major changes- The Story mode no longer has a limited number of continues. You may repeatedly continue and just go back to the upgrade screen every 3rd death. Grenades no longer do friendly fire to the pilot When you resummon the mech and it crashes in, it now receives 5 seconds of invincibility before it begins taking damage. During the enemy mech boss fight in the 5th level, the mech spawns with a timing where you get more of a 1-on-1 battle to really feel the introduction of the enemy mech as an enemy class. The encounters have been rebalanced on the final level to be more scalable in difficulty based on how you approach, with less of a blob of enemies as a guaranteed aspect of the level. If you are attempting to speedrun, the overall difficulty of the level should not have been nerfed. Quality of Life changes- Boss Health bars n…
- v1.005 - 26 January 2024
We made some balance changes and fixed some important bugs in this patch There was a clear balance issue related to mixing weapon types, as there would inevitably be a stronger weapon that got all of the upgrade points assigned to it. Weapon Upgrades now have a modest impact on other weapon upgrades to improve the balance of weapon mixing. The impact gives roughly 66% of an upgrade level to the mirror upgrade of other weapon types. IE Buying the Machine Gun Damage upgrade will boost the Sword, Plasma Cannon, and Flamethrower Damage upgrades to approximately level 2. Additional Updates: The Large Exhaust Fans that serve as a hazard on the Skydeck level (Level 4) had interaction issues with the sword and plasma cannon. The fans should now interact in a more acceptable way. The splintering wooden crates and giant falling rocks weren't taking enough damage from swords, so they have been cha…
- V1.004 - 16 January 2024
-Made some updates to the final level where if you have made any progress whatsoever, it starts you in the middle of the 4-way rather than at the normal starting area. This is intended ensure players know they've kept their progress from the moment they respawn. -Fixed the issue where blue dots might remain on spider droid enemies after they've died. -Made some adjustments to the flamethrower --Reduced the Ammo Cost --Reduced the modifier on the damage upgrade to balance the reduced ammo cost -Made some visual changes to the 5th level -Also updated the boss area in the 5th level to make it a bit more memorable and hazardous to both the player and the enemies. Exploit these hazards if you dare -Added a confirmation window to quitting the game, so players don't accidentally quit and lose their run progress.
- V1.003 - 15 January 2024
Made some QOL changes to the final level, including: -When you die and reload the level, you no longer have a movement collider blocking you out of the starting area. -When you destroy a power cell in a wing, but you then die and respawn, the enemies in the wing you destroyed no longer respawn with the level. -There are more destructible objects with sansum/health pickups in the final level to help you recover from taking a nasty hit. -Reduced the number of Dark Caelum soldiers on the non-challenge encounters, making players less likely to get instagibbed. (Good luck with the challenges though). -The standard encounters spawn less rapidly, giving the player more time to establish a foothold and take out key targets before the enemies can establish their synergies, forcing the player into a more defensive posture. The goals of this changeset is to make the fights on the final level more…
- V1.002 - Health pickup visual indication improvement - 14 January 2024
Whenever you pick up sansum, there is also a small boost to your mech's health. This wasn't visually obvious, so we made it more evident as the health bar will now visually fill to reflect your new hp.
- V1.01 Balance changes - 14 January 2024
Adjusted the difficulty on some of the later level encounters- Specifically in the SouthWest room of the final level. It was overwhelmingly difficult. Enabled the checkpoints in level 5 so your progress is saved upon a non-continue death
