- Meet the AFX - 3 July 2026
Hey Seekers,The Seeker does not explore Syro alone. Today we want to talk about the AFX, the weapons at your disposal as you make your way through the planet. Each AFX has its own identity: Norma, Ram, Twin, YazaFour AFX weapons and four very different ways to move through Syro. Which one you choose, says a lot about how you like to play CALX. Find all four detailed below with their symbol, description and in-game visual! The Norma is powerful and versatile, and can interact directly with FLOW-powered machinery. The Ram is slow, but hits hard enough to destroy even the sturdiest materials. The Twin is very fast and lethal, firing a FLOW-powered beam that can also power up specific machines. And then there is the Yaza, a lost artefact that mixes FLOW and WARP to send target-seeking projectiles at anything in its path.Try out the Demo Today!Wishlist here for 8th Oct 2026!

- Some Mysteries of Syro - 30 April 2026
Hey Seekers,Last time we gave you a sneak peek at an enemy WARPmaul (The Enforcer), and before that we talked about the Scanning feature (or Scan system). Now we are back with something a little different!Syro is full of mysteries, and today we want to talk about a couple of them. Statues that were watching before you got there. Roots that grow where the lost once walked. Machines built for a ritual no one fully understood. Do you think it's a random choice of mysteries for this dev blog? Maybe. But the more you will get to know about Syro, the less random it will feel. So, let’s get right into it and to remind you all that planet Syro is a world corrupted by a strange force known as the WARP, and what little remains tells the story of a civilization that once understood things we are only beginning to piece together. Here are three of those things:SENTINELSLooks can be deceiving and th…

Hey Seekers!Last time we talked about the Scanning feature (or Scan system) and today we are back with a deep dive into one of the many Enemy types, their origin and some hints at their weaknesses.Name: WARPmaul (The Enforcer)Biome of Origin: Tharsis DesertEnemy Type: WARPed beingCombat style: A rare elite WARP form that fights with cunning and brutality. The attack patterns rely on denial of space and a mix of brutal melee attacks with powerful bursts of WARP projectiles hurling towards you. - The Artist's Journey - The Making of CALX's Keyart 🎨 - 13 March 2026
CALX is a game that wears its references on its sleeve. Moebius, Druillet, and many other artists were analyzed and taken into consideration to inform the art direction of the game. Many internationally renowned artists began their careers small and local, self-publishing their work on fanzines and showcasing it at local events. That’s where our soul resides. For this reason exactly, we wanted to work with someone who perfectly embodies our artistic values: Artyom Trakhanov, known on socials as @ohotnig. With clear inspirations from artists such as Hugo Pratt and Mike Mignola, who were crucial inspirations for us, his style, previous work, and attitude were just a perfect fit for the project. We hope to work with Artyom again soon, and remember to support your local art scene! ~ True Colors
