  In preparation for the May 5th, 2022 official support and server shutdown of AA:PG, we are releasing the final PC patch beforehand. Official support and servers will still be available until May 5, 2022 for both platforms. This will allow us to work on hotfixes based on player feedback and make the final version of AA:PG on PC the best it can be. Also, by logging into AA:PG on PC between the patch release date and shutdown date, most of your player stats can be preserved. The specific patch date is TBA, so stay posted. • The video game the US Army made for recruitment is shutting down - 9 February 2022

  In 1999, the US Army reasoned that if children enjoyed shooting people in video games, perhaps they could be encouraged to later shoot people in real life too. Thus began America's Army, a series of tactical first-person shooters funded and released for free by the Army as a recruitment tool. But the series has seemingly petered out and now they're preparing to end support for the latest, America's Army: Proving Grounds .   In order to increase security and prevent cheating, we have re-enabled Punk Buster on official servers. If you are receiving a kick error when entering official servers, please follow these directions: 1. Download and run pbsetup.exe from http://evenbalance.net/pbsetup.php 2. Add the AAPG game by choosing it from the dropdown list. Press the Update Punk Buster button. 3.   Servers are already coming up for the update, but be aware we are not done with the patch yet. There may be some connection issues in about an hour as some new backend servers come online and old ones go offline. Features: - Added Reaction map (early Alpha version). - M17 is now the default sidearm. - M17, MP7, SCAR-H, CZ Alpha, and RPG added to Swenson Range. Fixes: - Fixed issues with clan tags that contain special characters. - CZ Alpha no longer drops with iron sights. - Fixed hold breath sound persisting under some circumstances. - Fixed several map issues and minor bugs.

  Both platforms: -VIP's primary weapon is now the MP7. -AFA (Armed Forces Affiliation) icon rendering method and assets updated. -Fixed an issue with metal surface penetration values. -Various map fixes. -Added Scar-H, CZ Alpha, and M17 pistol. -Added a dark backing to the server name on the scoreboard. PS4: -Private Lobby UI will no longer indicate weapon achievement progress and xp gains because neither occur in private games. -Fixed an issue where a Private Lobby host would start a match, then cancel and clients would get stuck in a loading state. -Spot/Lean keybind will now require a full key. No tap or hold binds but spot/lean are now bound separately. PC: -Fixed a logic issue in VIP selection, where new players could be selected for the VIP too early in the process.

• Shoothouse Scores Update - 29 August 2018

  I know we've lost a lot of you caring about the Shoothouse Scoreboards because of how many fake scores and cheats had been used to set the top scores, so we are working on clearing them all out to show only the real top scores. As well as making it harder to cheat the system. • Game Update Notes (26 JUL 2018) - 27 July 2018

  New Weapon The RPG-7 V2 has been added to select maps; a devastating anti-personnel weapon with a large fragmentation radius. It is a single shot weapon and is automatically dropped once fired. The RPG-7 has a minimum safe arming distance of ten meters; the round will not detonate if it does not travel at least ten meters. Beware the back blast as it will injure, or even kill, those directly behind when fired. Two new RPG-themed Steam achievements have been added: "I meant to do that!" (Kill an enemy with the RPG back blast) and "R-Three-G" (Get three kills with a single RPG blast). Stats related to the RPG are tracked and will be added to player profiles on the webpage soon after release. It is available as an in-world pickup on selected maps only; it will never appear in the deploy menu. A DefaultGame.ini option, 'bAllowRPGPickup', allows server admins (on PC only) to disable the RPG…
