Hello and welcome to another TDF23 devblog! For this devblog, we won't be focusing on just one area but rather on a range of changes made to enhance and streamline the experience when using the various game modes. So, let's start right away with the Pro Team and Pro Leader modes. This year, our goal was to give you more flexibility in these modes. To achieve this, we added new settings that you can adjust when you create a new game. You can choose your starting budget independently of the difficulty selected so you can progress faster or slower according to your preference. In Pro Leader mode, two new options have been added. The first allows you to adjust the level of teammates assigned at the start of the game. So, you can start with a strong team from the very first season or with a weaker team for a harder challenge. Hi everyone! For our second devblog on TDF23, we're going to take a look at Challenges of the Moment. Having appeared last year as Race of the Moment, the aim of this mode is to regularly offer you new events to refresh objectives and challenges. In line with this, the mode is being expanded with Downhill Challenges. Some of you were disappointed that they disappeared for a few years, but they are back this year! While the goal is still to ride down a hill as quickly as possible, these challenges are now only available for a limited time. In the same way that the objective of Race Challenges is to achieve the best position possible in a given leaderboard with a predefined team, in Downhill Challenges you need to get down hills as quickly as possible to place well in online leaderboards. Hi everyone! In this first devblog for Tour de France 2023, we'll take a look at rider ratings and two new mechanics introduced this year: Agility and Medium Mountain. AGILITY NOTE Agility is a new rating that replaces the Downhill rating. Based on a 5-tier scale (A+, A, B, C and D), it differentiates between riders while playing the game, influencing their ability to turn and react better to changes in the race. Controlling a rider like Tom Pidcock or Mathieu van der Poel, known for their expert handling of trajectories, becomes a completely new experience. Not only is it very different from previous years but also different to controlling less agile riders. The previous Downhill rating influenced maximum downhill speed and had a very limited impact.
