- Version 1.1.0 Patch Notes (Controller Support) - 13 March 2025
Controller Support Dead Oculus now has controller support for Xbox, PS4/DualShock, and PS5/DualSense controllers! The newly added controller support also supports dual wielding, so if you want to move with your controller but aim with your mouse, you can do that. You can even aim with one controller and move with another! Dead Oculus will simply read the strongest signal of each button for every plugged in controller. Please mind these limitations: - Controller binds are not rebindable - Wireless Bluetooth has not yet been tested for DualShock/DualSense controllers* - Dead Oculus does not have Steam controller integration - 3rd party controllers might work, but if it doesn't full conform to DirectInput or XInput, will read random junk inputs (in which case you might want to unplug that controller) - Nintendo Controllers are not supported and will not be registered unless the operating s…

- Demo v4 Patch Notes (Play Zones 2-3) - 21 April 2024
This update applies some changes from a round of playtesting and adds some sound work from the yet-to-be-released full version. Most importantly, it makes it much clearer how to progress to zones 2 & 3. This was the largest pain point in the previous version, as a majority of players thought the demo ended at zone 1. Sound - The demo should now have full sound coverage Balance - Boomerang bullets: Deal an extra tier of damage on the way back -> Deal double damage on the way back Bug Fix - Fixed a bug where the player could get a stationary projectile in "The Tutorial" to spawn out of bounds, forcing them to restart the game Confusion Reduction Measures - When there's an odd number of eye-cons on the mission select screen, they're now rotated such that the vertically furthest eye-con appears at the bottom of the screen instead of the top - Boon sub-menus on the boon gallery now have the…

- Change in Release Date - 8 October 2022
Dead Oculus is set to release in September of 2022, but it's October 8th. What's going on? Unfortunately, Dead Oculus has been delayed due to some artistic constraints. The game is currently in a state where all the core gameplay systems are complete, but surrounding systems which ensure a good gameplay experience (such as menus, sound design, and art) are not currently at a quality that meets my standards. For this reason, rather than rushing to release the project in September, I decided to silently push the release a few days into October, but this is taking longer than expected. Therefore, I have made the hard decision to delay the game for a short period of time. To clarify, Dead Oculus is still in active development, nearly complete, and will be released in the near future. Thanks - Andrew, the sole developer of Dead Oculus
