When it comes to using your own transmitter with RealFlight, the new Spektrum WS3000T Wireless Simulator USB Dongle is a game changer. For radios that support Smart Transmitter Files, the WS3000T sends an STF to the transmitter that automatically configures it for RealFlight. Then, RealFlight detects the WS3000T and automatically selects the correct radio profile. The whole thing becomes a true plug & play process, eliminating complicated user setup to get you flying faster and more successfully! Some noteworthy “quality of life” improvements: ______ Users who are new to the RealFlight Swap Pages sometimes download and import an Aircraft Variant that is based on a custom Entire Aircraft without downloading that required additional content. They end up with a vehicle that doesn’t work and no understanding of why or what to do about it. RealFlight now prevents that situation. ______ Imported AVs and EAs are now treated more like stock content and afforded many of the same protections. We encourage you to try the selection menu filters if you have not done so. We continue to refine this aspect of the simulator (as seen below). It is a handy way to browse and locate content. You can also filter by partial text, which is useful when you only know part of the desired item name, or when you just want to see everything matching “P-51”, for example.   RealFlight version 10.10.176 is now available as a free release for all Evolution users. It adds a new challenge type complete with Steam achievements. It also includes numerous improvements and bug fixes, primarily related to the user interface. Airplane Hover Training I & II use a step-by-step approach within the challenge system framework to teach you how to hover an airplane. At the very end of either one you can progress beyond a standard hover and learn to torque roll as well. The two challenges are essentially identical to each other, with Airplane Hover Training I operating at 50% physics speed. This setup provides a gentler onramp for pilots who need a little more time to react and develop the correct responses to what the plane is doing moment by moment.
