Early next year, you'll finally be able to see all of it yourself. There's been a lot of developing in the last months, and we'd like to share a few highlights with you. 1. Meta-progression is finally here Rebuilding your village will not only help your people, but also your own journey.     2023 brought us awesome experiences and we're thrilled to have all of you by our side on our journey. But with our current demo on a stable state and 2024 around the corner, one question arises: what's next for Ending Tau? Let's talk about it. New year, same goal It's time to get back under our rocks for a minute. Our first public demo gave us amazing insights and we're taking them to heart. Now, we're rolling up our sleeves and adding new content in the game with eyes on the bigger picture.   • Update 0.5.1: No Place for Vampires - 14 October 2023

    In this patch, you can expect graphic improvements, overall balancing, some very meaningful bug fixes, and most importantly... more juice (including extra blood). Speaking of blood: every entity in the game now casts a shadow. Which leaves no doubt that there are NO vampires in our game, in case someone was wondering. COMBAT UPDATES: "The Capelobo" is now harder to beat. Check it out. "The Capelobo" elite version implemented in Chaos Mode. Heavily improved Capelobo Cub's animation Relic synergy improved VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS: Enemies now draw more blood. All entities now cast shadows.     Steam Next Fest is here! And to celebrate, we're releasing a huge demo update. Minibosses, new challenges, and for those who thought the first biome was too easy... chaos mode. Time to show us how slick y'all are. CHAOS MODE: You can now unlock The Statue in the Jungle by completing the demo (or finding it in the jungle). When you return to The Village, The Statue will be waiting for you. Giving it an offering will trigger Chaos Mode. In Chaos Mode, every enemy is an Elite enemy. NEW ENEMIES: New Miniboss: you can now face the mighty leader leader of the Capelobos. Elite Centipede implemented. Elite Capelobo Cub implemented. COMBAT UPDATES: Spell rebalancing.   • Update 0.4.2: The Big Combat Revamp - 4 October 2023

    The first demo week was amazing and with it came a lot of learnings. We spent the whole week balancing and tweaking mechanics while absorbing everyone's feedbacks. Shout out to @Retromation, @Haelian, and many others for their very insightful videos! And thanks to all of you who have been trying out our game. In this new version, you can expect drastic combat tweaks for a more dynamic gameplay. You will also find accessibility improvements, and overall bug fixes. COMBAT IMPROVEMENTS: Enhanced controllability of all attacks Armadillo Body controllability heavily enhanced Wolf Arms attack speed and range increased Dashes/Attacks are now comboable (each body has its own combo window to be mastered) With some arm curses, you can now connect Strong Attacks to Quick Attacks.     It's on. The first Ending Tau Demo is now public and we can't wait for you play it. Here's what you can expect from our first ever release: Intense action battles Meaningful upgrades that really change your gameplay An immersive world with a mysterious lore A lot of teasing Most of our rogue-like core mechanics are being feature in this demo. And the full meta-progression system is on the way. Of course: there are still many biomes, enemies, curses, bosses, relics, and secrets to be unraveled, but we hope you enjoy this sneak peek as much as we enjoyed making it.     We've been waiting for three years to make a proper announcement here, waiting until we had something meaningful to share with you. Well, the time has come. Next week, you'll be able to play the first demo of Ending Tau! It's been a wild ride, and we're really looking forward to sharing what we've been working on with you.
