• LUMbA: REDUX - The Sigma Update - 14 May 2024

  I'm getting ready to put LUMbA: REDUX on some more platforms, so I thought now would be a good time to add some extra stuff and fix some issues I still have with the game. NEW MENU I completely redid the menu to make it more dynamic and stuff. The end result was pretty cool in my opinion, I hope you check it out :) NEW CHAPTER(???) I felt chapter 7 was the weakest in the game. Outside of the Yellherr fight, you spend the entire thing walking forward like it's sonic.exe and that's BORRRIIINNNGGGG. I redid a lot of it. Since chapter 8 is just a boss, chapter 7 has always filled the role of the "final level." I tried to make something much more climatic this time around, I even made music for it myself (I have no experience with making music). I also removed that stupid jumpscare when Yellherr shows up.   We're really happy with the positive reception we've gotten after releasing LUMbA: REDUX. Some people had issues with the game though, many issues we felt like we couldn't ignore. So without further ado, here are the new changes: Lumba's movement speed was made more consistent between levels. Lumba's projectile speed has been increased. Added a new brick wall object, which has replaced large stacks of boxes in some levels. Modified enemy spawn positions in multiple levels. Lowered Flart bullet speed. Lowered Bonecrow firebone speed. Lowered G-Yip firerate. Added telegraphs showing the area covered by explosive bullets. BOSS UPDATES: Added boss health meters. Gave some bosses telegraphed animations to signal incoming attacks.
