- Homeseek V.1.10 Update - 15 May 2024
Greetings, Survivors! We've rolled out a patch with some updates: Update 1.10 Fixes Fixed a bug preventing the game from ending when you have the 3 laws and the tower built in chapter 2.4. The final cinematic should appear as well. Changes & Balance We modified a quest in chapter 1.3 to hint at the necessity of the desalination center early on. There were cases where players assumed they were to go through the entire level only with the water from the well. We boosted the production of berry bushes by 10%. This will serve as a way of offering more room for mistakes in the early levels. Take note! We've had a few reports of corrupted saves. We have confirmed this happens if you use any external "cheating tools" so it is highly suggested that you don't. If you have a corrupted save and have not used such a tool please get in contact with us so we can investigate further. Stay hydrated! Do…
- Homeseek V.1.09 Update - 27 February 2024
Greetings, Survivors! We've rolled out a patch with some updates: Update 1.09 Fixes Fixed a bug preventing the Water Recycler from functioning. Fixed a bug that was causing some rewards in expeditions to be missing. Fixed several text inconsistencies. Fixed some bugs that were caused by having extremely large values on resources and citizens. We've recently discovered the presence of cheat tools circulating online, allowing users to tamper with game values. Be cautious, as deploying these tools may not only jeopardize your game saves but also compromise the overall stability of the game. Needless to say, it could completely undermine the immersive experience. We extend our gratitude to the dedicated members of our Discord server who consistently contribute valuable feedback and assist us in pinpointing and resolving bugs. Your support is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of the…

- Is Homeseek comparable to another survival game? A developer's perspective - 14 September 2023
Dear survivors (and all those curious about traversing the harsh and barren wastes), We wanted to address a question we see coming up frequently in the community: Is Homeseek comparable to Frostpunk? While we’re flattered to be held up against such a titan of a game, it’s important to us that the differences between our respective apocalyptic survival titles be made clear. So, is Homeseek an alternate version of Frostpunk? In short, no. While Frostpunk has undeniably inspired us in the creation of Homeseek, there are only a few shared elements, such as citizen management and their post-apocalyptic settings. (It's also essential to note that Frostpunk boasts three times the development time and a significantly larger team than ours, making any direct comparison unrealistic.) That being said, we take pride in forging our own path, and we have created a unique and challenging game world of…
- Homeseek V.1.06 Update - 28 August 2023
Greetings, Survivors! We've rolled out a patch with some updates today: Update 1.06 Bug Fixes Fixed a bug where the tutorial hints were not appearing in Survival mode. Fixed a bug where the resource effect from weather did not show on the HUD tooltips. Fixed a bug with the game mode tabs on the Main Menu. Improvements Added an edge-screen icon for berry bushes when you are constructing a Food Storage, so you can easily see where they are. Changed the way weather forecast is displayed, so it can provide more accurate info. Added some tooltips on some elements. Upcoming Improvements Currently there is misleading information presented when a storage cannot provide enough water for the converters attached to it. This is causing wrong calculations and expectation for production, and it is currently a very high priority issue, since it is causing confusion and frustration. We are working on a…

- Homeseek V.1.04 update - 16 August 2023
Hi colonists, We've just rolled out a patch with some big updates today. Update 1.04 Happiness Rework — The happiness system got reworked. The change aims to address two issues. Rate of citizen abandonment: Citizens now can last one more day on average when their needs are not covered. This consequently decreases the difficulty in all game modes. Feedback of immediate threat: Before, it was possible for citizens to leave if they had multiple needs not covered, even if they were not depressed. This is no longer the case, since happiness change now is more gradual, ensuring that only depressed citizens can leave during an event or at the start of the day. Balancing — Happiness losses from events were increased by 50% on average and water extractor and collectors were slightly nerfed. These changes aim to balance the decrease in difficulty due to the Happiness rework. Decreased Water Extra…
