• Halloween/View model Update! The definitive version of Blinded by Fear! - 7 October 2023

  An update just in time for Halloween for all you horror fans out there! - New viewmodel. You now have a scanner gun! Instead of scanning from your invisible hands you now scan from a fully modelled gun! Plus the scan beams are a new exciting colour. - Fixed the editors camera to not be really annoying and slidey. - Fixed some music cracking when it loops back around. - Fixed massive performance issue in one of the editor's menus. - Massive performance gains and fixes across the board. - Option in Accessibility menu to disable showing your score and hints. - Fixed annoying level design in Vivid workshop level.

• Steam Workshop Support is here! - 30 May 2023

  Players now have access to an in-game level editor where they can upload levels to the Steam Workshop. Download and subscribe to other peoples levels. Play the new Vivid level which is avaliable in the Workshop. To play new levels, go into the Menu -> Settings -> Community. Tutorial video is coming soon!

• Added Editor and Steam Workshop Support for custom levels - 30 May 2023

  - Added Editor which can be found in the Settings Menu -> Community -> Start Editor - Levels can be published to the Steam workshop. After subscribing to a Steam Workshop Item you can browse subscribed levels and play them in the the Settings -> Community Menu. - Fixed possible SteamDeck issue.

• Final fix for audio issue. - 21 May 2023

  This addresses the OpenAL issue and audio issue 0x2 on startup. In the rare event that audio issue error 0x2 continues to happen there is a simple fix: Go to the Blinded by Fear Steam directory and delete OpenAL32.lib and OpenAL32.dll This is located at -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BlindedbyFear This depends on what drive you have installed steam. In the above example it is drive C. It may be a different drive for you.

• Achievements Unlocked! - 7 March 2023

  Added Steam achievements to Blinded by Fear! Along with other QoL and bug fixes. Changes: - Added Steam integration including Steam Achievements - Added the ability to toggle shooting rather than holding the button down - Added a community tab/button (coming soon!) - Exiting in game takes you back to the menu first, rather than exiting the game Bug fixes: - Fixed issue where loading lidar files did not load the color of lidar dots correctly - Reduced the size of lidar save files

• Blinded by Fear Demo is Available! - 2 March 2023

  The free Blinded by Fear demo is out now! Check it out. See if you like. If you don't then that's okay. If you do then consider buying the game! Next step is some better Steam integration. Soon there will be achievements and (fingers crossed) some workshop support for custom maps. See ya!

  - Possible fix for obscure display mode error where sometimes having a multi-monitor setup causes a crash at start-up or when changing to fullscreen. If you still have this issue let me know. Diagnosing now. This may fix it.

  - Adds a message that tells you to plug in an audio device. This is a potential reason as to why the game will not startup.

  - Potential fix for start-up crash - Fixed issue where errors on start-up were not being displayed. - Game now launches in borderless mode rather than full screen. These changes may fix an issue that a few players have where the game simply does not start (without any error message at all). If you experience these errors please drop me a message! Potential ways to alleviate the start-up issue for now: - Run the executable directly, not via Steam (which you can find here D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blinded by Fear (you will need to navigate to which ever hard disk you have installed steam and the game) - Update graphics drivers - Go to the D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blinded by Fear\Resources\Settings. Open the settings.settings file (it's a text file so notepad will do). Find "graphics" and then "windowed" and change the number to 2
