Short description
In the middle of summer, in the suburbs, in the river, a drowned body is floating. It seems like three-years-earlier incident replays. This story, through the investigation into the case, shows triangular relationship between a male police officer, a female police officer, and a female murderer.
About this game
NOTICE *"Silence of Switchblade" will be re-titled and released as "Dance by the River". The following description may differ from the production version. (November 20, 2023) INTRODUCTION In the ordinary summer, in the ordinary suburb, it happens ――this is a story of the murders. Ukishio City, Saitama Prefecture, it is the mundane suburb with flat land and many waterways. You are in the perspective of Issei Tegoshi, a model police officer working at the Ukishio Police Station, and experience the whole story of the strange murders. STORY "Ukishio stabbing: 14-years-old girl arrested." In Ukishio City, a suburb of Saitama Prefecture, a stabbing incident occurred that left 1 killed and 3 injured. Even though, at first, the local newspapers only reported it, the suspect girl was arrested, the next day, the national newspapers made headlines. As is often the case with violent or ugly news, for a short period, this news also created a sensation and people said whatever they felt like. After the trial, her diminished responsibility was demonstrated, but at that time, nobody, except few concerned, was interested anymore. Three years later, a police officer, Issei Tegoshi, was transferred to the Ukishio Police Station in his hometown. He was assigned to the Juvenile Case Investigation Team at the Community Safety Division. In this division, he works under a non-career-track female police officer, Ino Sarina, who graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo. As Tegoshi begins to have a difficult time with too straight-laced Ino, an incident occurs. It strangely looks like the three-year-earlier incident in Ukishio City... A detective-dramatic psychological thriller written by over 200,000 words. This is a story from a quiet neighborhood, however, it contains immoral triangular relationship between the cops and the murderer. Over 70 images and stills! PC-98-like pixel art visuals make dull suburbia colored melancholically. Chillwave music (provided by Virtual Cat) makes you feel at ease. Summer time in the small town is becoming stylish as a city.
