- The Hideaway is back ! - 21 April 2025
Hello everyone ! I hope that everything is going well ! The Hideaway is back, after two years of inactivity on Steam the project finally gets a huge update ! The Playtest of the 1st chapter of the game will open on the 28th of April. This version will feature the maps currently in development, the mechanics are developed as the sound design and the new visuals. Playing the Playtest you might experience bugs, crashes and/or issues but the access is free ! Feel free to join the official Discord server to signal bugs and issues. I hope that you will like the artistic turn the project took and I hope that some people will understand the purely artistic view of the project. Hey everyone ! I trust everyone is doing great and eagerly anticipating the upcoming playtest! I will be pushing an experimental version of the game on the Steam servers during this weekend, unfortunately, the Steam validation process takes from 3 to 5 business days to validate a published build... So the playtest might only start during next week I am really sorry for the inconvenience. However, the playtest will last for one to two months during which I am planning to update the game, patch the issues (and there will be a lot) and to finalize the implementation of some gameplay elements. Hello everyone and welcome to this new Devlog ! I'm pleased to announce that a playtest of The Hideaway will be opening soon, and you can already register for free on the Steam page of the game ! The Hideaway : Chapter 1 will feature a large scale multiplayer mode, one server with a maximum of hundreds of players connected, crashing on a random planet of a realistically-simulated galaxy. Players will have to survive, explore bases, collect loot and mine ressources on the planets, in order to one day be able to craft or exchange a ship and explore the galaxy ! Hey everyone :) ! The Hideaway in coming in Early Acces on Steam the 31th of August 2022 ! After many successful alpha and beta phases, The Hideaway is now coming to Early Access on Steam ! Featuring new environments, animals and a new building system. We have also reworked the graphical aspect of The Hideaway, from lights and colors to textures.
