- Dominova - Official Announcement - 21 February 2025
Hey everyone! Today I am happy to announce my next big project: Dominova! A roguelike deckbuilder where you place dominoes in space. :milky_way: Before you read any further, please visit the steam page and give it a wishlist! Having played a lot of Balatro and Slay the Spire recently, I felt inspired to try to make my own roguelike deckbuilder. Development started only 2 months ago, so there is still a lot to be done. The plan is to get a demo up by the end of April. It’s a very tight deadline, so hopefully I can make it in time. In the meantime I will update the server with occasional announcements, gameplay features and random updates. Have a nice day!
- Gum Ball Run Update 5.0 - 14 April 2023
Howdy Gum Balls, It's been a while since last update. It was necessary for me to take a step back and work on some other stuff. For this update I made a new race theme. The Gum Balls are delving into the Rainbow Mines. These mines were used to excavate the rainbow crystals in 7223 BG to support the allies in the Greater Gum Ball War. I wonder what they do. :thinking: Hope you will enjoy the new map. There have also been reports of users not being able to load the game and enter the main menu. This issue should now also be fixed. Hello Gum Balls, It has been a while since the latest update, I felt it was important to start thinking of more long term progression systems. That's why I have added the following new features: - Eggs and Pets! Every player now gets a free random egg. By racing and gaining exp in ranked these eggs can eventually hatch into pets! Eggs and pets will follow your Gum Ball wherever you go. Others will see them as well! There are 181 pets to collect, including 9 extremely rare mythical pets. - 50 single player levels total! Another addition to the single player is that every level now has a top 10 leaderboard. - Challenges! Complete daily and weekly challenges to unlock new cosmetics and eggs! - Vote in ranked! - New race map + 100k Downloads! - 21 February 2023
Hello there Gum Balls, Thanks to all of you Gum Ball Run has reached 100.000 downloads! To celebrate this I went above and beyond to create a new race track: Coral Canyon. It's probably the most beautiful race map as of yet. This track has fast currents that will send you in different directions and lower gravity, which makes super jumps even more powerful! - New cosmetics + sales + lower prices - 17 February 2023
Hiya Gum Balls, It was time to add new cosmetics. 31 new cosmetics have been added to the collection! When I launched the game I had no idea how I should price the cosmetics. Looking back at it now I realize they were way too overpriced. So I reduced the price of all tiers, especially the epic and legendary tiers. On top of this I also added a sales system. Currently every hour new cosmetics will be for sale. The higher the tier, the crazier the sale. For the next update I'll be adding a new race theme. It will be a wet one. A VERY wet one. - Chatbox! - 13 February 2023
Hey there Gum Balls, Making a chat system work was easier than I thought, so here it is. If you don't want to see the chat you can close it and the game will remember that. Chatting can be done during lobbies! Just to be clear and transparent, the game isn't making a lot of money, so I chose to put chatting behind a small paywall. You can see others chat, but if you want to chat yourself you have to pay 100 gummies. Once unlocked you can chat as much as you want. - Full Controller support + button rebinding - 11 February 2023
Hi Gum Balls, A new update has arrived. Two features that were requested by you, A LOT. These are full controller support and button rebinding. I am happy to tell you that both of these features are now in the game! You can now change your button mapping in the settings and navigate through the menus with a controller! Because the game was never meant to be played with a controller, I couldn't make button navigation work as most games do. Instead the controller operates like a mouse. Right stick: move mouse cursor East button (B): click D-pad: scroll I know this is not ideal, but it is the only way to make menu navigation work without having to rework the entire UI system, which would've taken too long to justify implementation. - NEW MAP! Twisty Tubes! - 8 February 2023
Hellow my lil Gum Balls, It is time for a new race map. It is time for Twisty Tubes. Probably the craziest race map as of yet. The chaos will drive your gum ball to their limits. - V2.9 - Daily Gumchinko - 4 February 2023
Hello Gum Balls! Last week I have been very busy implementing a new feature in Gum Ball Run: The Daily Gumchinko! It's a little minigame you can play every day to get cosmetics, exp to level up or gum ball machine tickets. The higher your daily streak is, the better rewards you can get! Now that this is implemented I am also looking at some kind of challenges system with daily and weekly challenges to complete. For the sake of ease everyone now also connects to the same region. This will make sure lobbies get filled a lot faster. Currently the playerbase is a bit too small for lots of different regions. I have also updated the leaderboard menu. You now see what season you're in and how high your individual score is, even if you're not in the top 100. If you are in top 100 your name will also be highlighted in green. - Regions Update! - 18 January 2023
Last week has been a very busy one for me, fixing lots of issues and bugs. Gum Ball Run has been out for a week and the reception has been amazing. Thanks everyone for playing! Ofcourse I am working on extra content like new levels and race tracks, but a feature that has been requested most was a way for players all across the world to play with eachother. As you may know the game is region locked. This is done to provide the best connection for players in each region. But sometimes you don't care about the connection and just want to play with friends. That's why you can now change your preferred region in your settings (v1.91). This way you can connect with every player that has selected the same region. Do be aware that faraway regions from your own region can cause unexpected behaviour or big latency issues. Ideally you want to connect to the closest region for the best connection.…

Gum Ball Run has just launched and the playerbase is really small. This makes it hard to find players on ranked matches. To fix this you can: 1. Join the Gum Ball Run Discord Server. Gum Ball Run has had a very humble launch and there wasn't really a large audience that was anticipating the game.
