  Hey Doobadders! As you know, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha! does not currently have a release date. So while you endure this wicked wait, we thought it might ease the pain by pointing you in the direction of another villainous game to play: the original Castle Doombad! We just released Castle Doombad Classic, also on Steam, which includes both the original dungeon-keeping Tower Defense puzzler from 2014, rebuilt and remastered, and with brand new content! That new content includes new unlockable equipment, cosmetics, and even a brand-new roguelite mode: Dr. Lord Evilstein's Roguevenge!   Today, we have an especially evil update for all the aspiring villains out there! The Castle Doombad Remake is now... Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha! As we've been working on this project over the last year, our ideas and improvements have become TOO BIG and TOO BAD for a mere remake -- and we've now transitioned the game's production to a full-on sinister sequel! This new version of the game will include a bigger scope, new content, a surprising twist on the classic Doombad gameplay, the 2-Player Co-Op mode, plus an all new story! • Castle Doombad Demo Update (Mouse+Keyboard support added!) - 14 February 2024

  Get ready for a fiendish free update to our Castle Doombad Demo -- including the addition of Mouse+Keyboard support! Here's what's new: New Mouse+Keyboard support! Two control modes for mouse+keyboard have been added and can be swapped between in the pause->settings screen. (The two new mouse control modes include a "Cursor Follow" mode, where your ghostly player character follows your cursor, and "Direct Control" mode where Ghostie is your cursor! In both modes you can use either Q and E, the arrow keys, or your mouse wheel to switch between traps.) Performance improvements across the board have been applied Brand new control mode selection screen has been added for Co-Op! • Castle Doombad "Sneak Peek" Demo Patch + Leaving soon! - 9 November 2023

  We've released a small patch for the Castle Doombad Demo (patch notes below) and also wanted to inform you that it's your LAST CHANCE to play! The Demo will be removed from Steam after Sunday, November 5th. Even if you've already downloaded the demo, it will no longer be able to be launched after this weekend. Please note that this demo was intended as a limited time "sneak peek" (and as a Halloween treat for our fans and players) of an unfinished and Work In Progress game. We may consider releasing a new and updated demo in the future, but we have not yet decided on that at this time. • New Trailer + Announcing 2-Player Co-Op Mode! - 29 September 2023

  Check out our new trailer, which also serves as our announcement for the new 2-Player Co-Op Mode! Defend your castle in real time with a partner-in-crime! The entire game is playable either in Solo Mode or Co-Op Mode. In Co-Op, you and your partner cannot select the same traps or doomkins, so you'll have to plan wisely, communicate accordingly, and work together well if you wanna destroy those do-gooders together! Co-Op is currently planned to be available locally or via Steam Remote Play.
