- A Tasty Recommendation from the Tiny Bookshop team! - 16 January 2026
We’re excited to bring Tiny Bookshop to new players with our first major Steam sale! Leave everything behind to open a tiny bookshop by the sea for 25% OFF this weekend; and for those of you who may also dream of opening your own restaurant? We have a delicious wishlist recommendation: Arcane Eats from our friends at Wonderbelly Games! In Arcane Eats, the best deck-building mechanics get spiced up by cooking elements to add a new depth of flavor and strategy. Running a restaurant is rewarding but hard – you’ll have to satisfy hangry customers, balance the books, and keep the health & purity inspector at bay. Think like a Master Chef, keep cool in the face of challenging (yet charming!) customers, and try to impress legendary chefs like Guy Fairy to grab that 3 Mythril Star rating. You can get a taste in the Arcane Eats Demo and wishlist now!

- Tiny Bookshop Is Now Steam Deck Verified - 18 December 2025
Hi folks! After going back and forth with the Steam team, we were able to optimise Tiny Bookshop for the Steam Deck's screen fully! 🥳With this update, Tiny Bookshop is officially Steam Deck verified! This patch also introduces the ability to zoom in, while your shop is at a location, so even the smallest text in speech bubbles will be readable. This patch also sets the default back from Proton to Linux for the Steam Deck and Linux devices. This comes with two notes:The Proton (Windows) and Linux native versions are identical, but you might see some faster loads in the Proton version, and faster runtime performance in the Linux version.Note 1:Load times can be a bit longer on Steam Deck / Linux. This is nothing new, but keep it in mind. Our theory is that thread priority is handled differently, leading to slightly slower load speeds.Note 2:If you haven't opened the game on your Steam Dec…

- Version 1.0.6 - 30 September 2025
General Fixes: Hi everyone, we’re back after recovering from Gamescom, and the stress that has been the release of our first game, with our latest patch! This one took a bit longer to figure out, because we made changes to the save system, and that requires a ton of testing and consideration, to make sure nothing breaks. Plus, it seems like the life we’ve been putting on hold before the release of TB finally caught up with us! Two of our team members got married last month, and we all had to spend some much-needed time to take care of our personal lives, after the crunch-free but still very all-consuming development that was Tiny Bookshop. Without further ado, let’s jump into what we’ve fixed and addressed with this update 🔧♥️ Fixed some UI scaling issues and some edge case problems with dialog bubbles Fixed some item and book tags. Fixed some more typos. Save System Rework Improved Sa…

- Tiny Bookshop has sold over 200,000 Copies!!! - 19 August 2025
It's been a bit over a week since Tiny Bookshop was released. Can you believe there are already over 200,000 of you making Bookstonbury unsafe with your book recommendations 📚, prickly cacti, and smelly fish??? 🐟 I know, it's still hitting me... This has been the most chaotic and wonderful week of our careers; we cannot thank you enough for all the love you have shown for Tiny Bookshop. Now go out there and sell some more books to the world! 💖
- Tiny Bookshop - ver 1.0.5 - 15 August 2025
Hi everyone, it’s now officially 7 days since Tiny Bookshop released, and finally, after tackling the most serious bugs, we found some time to take care of more UX and feedback. Adjusted/Fixed Maryam’s recommendation quest at the café not saving the progress consistently. Increased rain chance in spring slightly. Inspiring Klaus now counts anywhere, and not just at the supermarket. Adjusted Historic Tag. Changed it from “Written about the past” to “meeting a need of immersing yourself in the past”. Nerfed Professor Quest to make it less frustrating. Made cases visible and visually distinct to help you identify which one is currently active. Removed a dialogue gamepad deselection, that would lead to having to re-select dialogue. Made Play and Long mutually exclusive, as plays don’t tend to be over 450 pages. Added a bail-out book box, in case you are out of money and out of books. Adjust…
- Tiny Bookshop (Switch) Review - 14 August 2025
Despite how popular the “cozy games” genre has become, many titles that fall under its umbrella lose sight of the “cozy” part —but not Tiny Bookshop . The latest indie sim darling is precisely what its name implies: you’ve started a mobile secondhand book store, operating out of a trailer pulled by your car. Each day, you venture out to one of the charming locales around the idyllic town of Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea to hawk your wares. Success depends on how well you stock your shelves and make recommendations to your indecisive patrons. Or at least, this is the core of Tiny Bookshop ‘s experience—as much of a puzzle game as it is a business sim. Your stocks are replenished by buying used book lots out of the newspaper classifieds. Deftly dividing your shelf space amongst the various genres will help cover your bases when customers come looking for specific requests. Then it’s a matter of…
- Tiny Bookshop - ver 1.0.4 - 12 August 2025
Added a robust local backup system for saves (One on start-up and one whenever you save) Fixed an issue where the game did not start due to a Steam back-end change Fixed typos and adjusted some book tags Fixed an issue where in the final quest you would sometimes not get an important item Fixed the timing and conditions of some late game quests Known issue: There is currently an issue with Steam Cloud messing with the save files on Mac, and perhaps other OSes. That’s the reason we experienced and fixed the start-up bug, added two additional back-up systems for your save files, and did not get much else done today. If you are affected, please try the solution posted in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2133760/discussions/0/601912361526441201/ If that doesn’t work, please mail us at developers at neoludic.games and we will try our best to help you. We have alerted Steam Support…
- Tiny Bookshop - ver 1.0.3 - 11 August 2025
Hi everyone, thank you so so much for enjoying our game, and helping us find and fix some more rogue bugs! We're still waiting to verify our Steam Cloud fix with Valve, but here are all the things we fixed in the last 24 hours ✨ Fixed an issue that would sometimes arise when having back-to-back recommendations. Leading to a softlock. Fixed an issue where the plant-growing cutscenes would sometimes not reset properly. Fixed a bug where Tilde’s dialogue at the chess group in the Park would sometimes get stuck, blocking the rest of the day from progressing. This should fix similar bugs in other locations like Moira at the lighthouse or the concert being stuck at ""Wohooo"". Fixed a bug where Walt was not finishing the Writing Quest. Fixed a softlock where you could not confirm the pop-up on the gamepad after adopting the dog. Fixed the start of a late-game questline. Fixed a Harper cave sp…

- Guide to Report Bugs - 7 August 2025
Like the six-legged critters, bugs can sneak in from anywhere. And before we can address them, we need to identify them. The faster we can figure out what caused a bug, the faster we can fix it!Here are a couple tips on how you can help with that, after you encountered one.1. Play the game until the bug appears, 2. Then press F2 (depending on your configuration, you might need to hold down the FN key on your keyboard when pressing F2).3. This brings up our bug report tool. Here you can give the bug a good name, and describe what happened BEFORE the bug occurred and describe the bug itself.4. If you're open to being contacted with follow-up questions, you can enter your mail, but you don't have to.5. Press send!If you can't open the game, or prefer reporting bugs otherwise, you can also email us with a bug report to developers\neoludic.games.It's still important for you to describe what…
