We’re excited to release our second content update. A new weapon, a new quest, and a few adjustments to strike fear into the hearts of the ravenous monsters In this update, we’re introducing a new weapon, the Scythe, a weapon that deals higher physical damage and normal elemental damage. The scythe also has a unique 5-attack combo, something entirely unique to the other weapons. The new weapon also comes with a new special attack, which can be unlocked by defeating the Guardian to acquire the new weapon art. Players can switch out the weapon arts at the ‘Workshop’ and select the new one, a devastating attack that spawns a few skulls that will affect the enemies with the 'Fear' status effect, causing the enemies to take increased damage. There’s the Avoid the Flood quest, which can be found in the Main Square, Watermill, and Forest levels, and the Spiteful Shrines quest, which can be found in the Keep, Festin, Watermill, and Forest levels, along with both of the endless levels (Rage and Denial). Rage mode also got a new update recently, where the level is capped at 60. - Hotfix for Minor Bugs ⚔️ - 9 May 2025
It’s not just the horde we’re hunting down in Early Access… We’re also fighting those pesky bugs! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to play Hordes of Hunger and provide us with feedback and bug reports! In this hotfix, we have focused on three main issues that had crept up: Fixing the Nests spawning in unreachable areas, meaning that players were unable to complete the quest. Fixed the Hammer Spelling Issues. Fixed the repeating voice over which is triggered when Mirah uses the light attack on a shielded monster. The player loses rewards after teleporting after the "Come Back Home" quest is fixed.
