Intended to be played in a classical linear fashion, Level 1, Level 2, etc. The update includes 6 new playable levels to explore and get your monster hunting on. Even though the levels are intended to be played in order, currently, the levels can be played in any order and do not require the previous level to be completed. Area 1 - Residents Level 1 - Neighborhood - Leaving the safety of your bunker, you will explore the surrounding neighborhood. Level 2 - Playground - Arriving in another neighborhood, you must get into a playground and find a way out. This creature is currently present in solo mode but has been added to multiplayer For multiplayer, the creature has received the following updates- Lunger: - Reduced speed by 21% - Reduced lunge speed by 22% - Increased damage to 12-15% of players' max health. (opposed to 8-12% in solo) - Damage radius increased by 20% - Respawn time is 30 seconds, on average, longer than a zombie --- Multiplayer Factory Map updates Explosive Red Barrels have been added. Multiplayer Updates This patch includes some quality-of-life updates, fixes, additions, and a few removals for the multiplayer mode. Let's start off with what was added. -Added- A session timer, currently visible only to the host, has been added to the scoreboard. A server name input requirement has been added - the field can no longer be left blank. Added an end-game menu - currently still in development. Created fixed time limits for sessions. -- Game Modes now include Free For Fall - 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and No Limit. Factory, a new map, has cast its shadow into multiplayer mode. This is one of the primary locations in solo mode. - This may receive a lower player limit or decreased zombie count. A temporary lobby has been created until the better-looking one is completed. This allows the host to start the match at any given player amount. Currently, only the host can see how many…
- Patch v1.2.1 - Multiplayer Fixes - 13 November 2022
Quick Fixes for Multiplayer- Servers- Players transitioning from lobbies at the start of a match were losing the ability to control their character. For now, lobbies have been removed as they were/are the culprit to the control loss and are being looked into. Temporarily, players will instead join active sessions. Multiplayer Main Menu also received some new text to assist with input (typing) locations. Sounds- Various sounds have been updated and should be spatializing (sounding 3D) properly now. This includes firing weapons, walking/running, item picks up, etc. Weapons- The shotgun has received a firing adjustment to the height and the spawn location of its projectiles. All multiplayer weapons received this update to a similar or lesser degree. The shotgun fire rate has also been reduced. AI- Zombies received an update to their hitbox locations (for projectiles). First, let's look at the performance update. The intro scene and the initial spawn building were experiencing a form of constipation, causing the frame rate to dip, dramatically. -- This has been corrected. Furthermore, the entire map has received a performance update. This patch, v1.0.5, adds 11 new spawn points for your typical zombie. This patch is being released as its own addition to the game, rather than being included in v1.0.4, in case zombie spawning numbers need to be adjusted (increased or decreased). The new spawns add a minimum of 26 additional zombies at any given point. This doesn't sound like much, but note - that's the minimum. --- Would also like to acknowledge a request from a community member - 1) - Add a timer "not a countdown, but like a total time to complete" This is a fantastic idea. So, let's figure out this timer --- Not a countdown, check. Total Time, check. Completion? We're on the same page. Now let's define this timer --- Timer - Start tracking time at beginning of the level. Display and save time when you complete the level. Bug fixes - Community Suggestion - New Game Mode Community Suggestion - Player dodge was set to double tap - A, W, S, or D - to dodge in that direction. The suggestion was to remap the bindings to CTRL or ALT, etc. New default dodge binding has been set to CTRL (control) + A, W, S, or D - to doge in that direction. --- Bug fixes- School - Outside stairs collision issue - Player was being stopped at points (at the top of the stairs), forcing the player to jump or attempt to walk around. --- Corrected Train Depot - A staircase was difficult to pass. --- The staircase is now impassable. This decision does not hinder navigation throughout the building. It should help. End Scenes - Flashlight should now remain off during cut scenes.
