  Update to Version 1.102 - updated the train performance charactoristics - refined the video train speed data using new speed estimation tools. - made changes to the signal animation system. - Some other small fixes.

  A number of 2D assets have been updated to improve the resolution of the simulation; this will be particularly noticable on larger, widescreen monitors. Cab inertia when accelerating and braking has been improved. A few graphical glitches have been improved. Some other small fixes in non- graphics related areas.

• Update to version 1.011 - 15 June 2023

  Update to version 1.011 This is a minor update which adresses some issues with the 'apraisel' scoring system. In addition, the view settings ( cab position & zoom, scenery / track orientation ) are now remembered for the duration that the application is running along with other settings applied during a run. The view settings can now be saved for when the application is re-launched or reset to defaults from the options page - see the last page of the ( updated ) PDF for further details.

  Update to version 1.010 A number of improvements and another round of bug fixing....... Rain will now build up slowly on the windscreen in the areas beyond the reach of the wipers - it will also dry off slowly if the rain stops. The speed setting controls have been 're-calibrated' and are working properly & accurately. Cab shading has been further refined. The cab shading will now track the sky in sunset / sunrise services. Various other graphical glitches resolved or improved. Work has been done to improve the simulation's handling in the event that you overshoot the station stopping point - There will still be a brief pause while the program searches for the earliest frame where the videoed train's speed is one quarter of the speed you are travelling at since the video can only be sped up by a maximum of 4X. • Update to version 1.009 - 12 May 2023

  Update to version 1.009 Includes the addition of some very minor functionallity, but the cab lighting system has been extensively overhauld: - Occasionally, the doors may fail to close properly, due to an obstruction. If trhis happens, opening and closing the doors again will resolve the issue. - You can now use the two way radio to find out how long you may be held up by a red light. Press E to use it. - Various bugs have been identified and resolved.

• Update to version 1.008 - 12 April 2023

  Update to version 1.008 This is a fairly hefty update, involving a total overhaul of the dynamic weather system, the timetables, wheel-slip, a minor update for the HUD, improved authenticity of some of the 377 functionality and a complete reworking of the demo mode, now referred to as the AI driver. In addition, there has been further work on the cab lighting, more done to brighten stations in night services and the user guide PDF has been updated and expanded. Miscellaneous bugs have also been identified and fixed. AI driver: The original demo mode was put together in the tradition of Konami's 1981 classic 'Frogger' e.g. it would play the game but not very well! This has now been replaced with a competent AI system which drives like a pro and kisses the station stopping points with good accuracy. • Update to 1.007 - 21 March 2023

  This is a minor update which has dealt with some anomilies with the cab lighting and a few other issues: The last update introduced some issues when pulling out of London Bridge - now resolved. I've had some strong words with the AI driver about speeding - now the AI driver will apply brake notch 3 if it finds itself over the speed limit. Night services - a few changes have been made to brighten the stations a bit more. A few other bugs have been quashed. TIPS: I'll take this oppertunity to provide a couple of tips - A shortcut to setting the passenger information display is to quickly engage and then disengage the AI driver (demo mode) F1 key. Since this software is for entertainment, you have the luxury of being able to cancel ATS before the train has come to a stop. • Update to 1.006 - 6 February 2023

  Unfortunately, the last update came with a bug which caused the cab to be too dark on the last stretch of the Brighton to London route. This has now been fixed. Further work has also been carried out on the exiting of tunnels. Also, a few other glitches have been spotted and fixed. There is always a concern that updates could introduce a bug that hasn't been picked up, but testing is continuous so if there are issues they will be identified and dealt with quickly. Thankfully, updates to Train Operator 377 seem to only take a few seconds.

• Update to 1.005 - 3 February 2023

  Update to 1.005 This is quite an extensive overhaul and aims to deal with video glitches and other annoying bugs, among other things: Further work has been carried out on cab lighting. The wind generation algorithm has been further updated. (Wind characteristics vary with each session and are not under user control. However, the wind has only a very minimal effect on train performance.) Train physics: retardant forces have been adjusted slightly and as a result the train performs better at higher speeds and coasts better at most speeds. (These attributes are of course, affected by gradient and train weight.)   This is a minor update, addressing the following; Cab lighting has been updated with less flicker. The wind / breeze system has been improved. The timetables are now a bit less generous. Various bugs and graphical issues have been fixed.
