- STAR-CROSST IS OUT NOW! - 6 August 2023
After 3 years in development by our tiny team, Star-Crosst is finally out for you to enjoy!
- Character Design: Isol - 4 July 2023
Isol's design was a bit more difficult than the other characters, because she wasn't human, so first we had to create a whole new alien race, Ghians (Lomina in the early version of the script) From facial features: To their body structure. Originally they were supposed to have feathers instead of hair, but that was eventually changed for more conventional human-like look. We also had to design style of their clothing that would make sense in the context of their culture and climate of their homeworld. Then finally we got to designing Isol herself And there she is, ready to meet you in a few short weeks!
- Character Design: Carla - 11 June 2023
Star-Crosst started as a very different game with a very different plot and characters, so our original vision for Carla was nothing like she is today, as you can see from these 3 year old concepts. About 6 months into development we decided to start over with a new script, and while we kept a lot of the old ideas and the setting itself. many characters got axed. Carla however survived but had to be reworked to fit better with the new vision for the game. Her latest redesign was mostly in-line with what we conceptualized at the start of the reboot. And here she is today, ready to meet you all in a few short months!

- The Tide Turns - 25 May 2023
Because the Moon had no atmosphere, it was never considered a candidate for terraforming. All the same, many domes had been established on its surface, primarily for non-civilian interests: resource mining; cosmology; and astrology; to name a few. Because the Moon orbited the planet and was visible to most of the Earth’s surface at any given time, it was considered a demilitarized zone: no weapons or militarized vehicles were permitted on the Moon’s surface, similar to the Antarctica Treaty of 1959. This quickly changed when the Riklid attacked. Just as it was not possible to terraform the Moon, it was also immune to the Riklid superweapon. All efforts were immediately turned towards defense and preservation of the Earth and of Mars through the Moon: all established domes and facilities were converted to military bases and factories to put out as many tools, weapons, and vehicles as pos…
- Battle For Mars - 20 May 2023
Plans to put humans on the surface of Mars had been underway before the Ghian probe had entered Earth’s aerospace, and by 2035 – the same year the Ghians made contact with Earth – there had been several aerodrome structures suitable for human habitation established, although they were purely scientific in nature and were not considered adequate for civilian life. Plans to terraform Mars for permanent human habitation were not considered feasible… but with the technology that the Ghians had shared, what was considered a far-flung fantasy was suddenly achievable within the century. With their combined efforts, the first forest, colloquially named The Red Wood, had been seeded surrounding a crater known as Columbia Hills. The Martian air was seeded and the atmosphere was manipulated to cause rainfall with a pH acidity of 6.0, filling the crater with fresh water and starting the first lakes…
- Earth Under Siege - 12 May 2023
Star-Crosst begins at the end of the war, but what was that war in the first place? On March 26th, 2311, the Earth was visited by another species. Giant, black, angular ships appeared in the skies high above the continent of Africa at exactly 7:00 AM UTC. Two of them were significantly larger than the others. All attempts to communicate with them were met with static. The ships design was neither earthling nor Ghian: these had come from someplace else. They remained in the sky for forty-eight hours. They remained tidally-locked with the Earth as it spun on its axis. There was no sign of any form of movement. On March 28th, 2311, at 7:00 AM UTC, after exactly forty-eight hours to the second, one of the two larger ships deployed a superweapon that caused the Earth’s atmosphere to behave erratically. Tornados struck at unusual locations; hurricanes would form closer to the poles, a previou…
- Voice Acting! - 9 May 2023
Star-Crosst is not a silent game, aside from sounds, ambiance, and original soundtrack written by The Word Of Lawder of Sinvicta fame, it also features voice acting from quite a few amazing people, and here are some of them (but not all!)
- Got Lizard Girls? >:3 - 2 May 2023
Ghians are a bipedal, lizard-like alien species hailing from the planet Ghi existing approximately five light years away from Earth’s sun. While within their star’s Goldilocks Zone, Ghi is still notably closer to its star than Earth is to the sun; as a result, Ghi is an arid, dry world largely covered in desert, with its equator being uninhabitable by humans. Its oceans and freshwater lakes are small, but dotting the surface of the planet are oases where the local Ghians thrive. To help deal with the intense heat, Ghians were evolved to have scales instead of skin; as humans have a common, ape-like ancestor, so too do Ghians have a common ancestor more closely resembling an alligator. Ghians are ovoviviparous: their children hatch from eggs while still in the womb and are born live. Modern-day Ghians do not typically grow hair upon their heads, but since their meeting with the humans, i…
- The World of Star-Crosst: Earth - 18 April 2023
With the game’s release inching ever closer we want to share with you some details of the game’s world in a series of short lore drops. Today’s topic - Earth: In the year 2029, a satellite of unquestionably alien origin and design were found passing through Earth’s solar-airspace, its trajectory aimed to Earth’s orbit and Venus’s. It was intercepted and brought to Earth, where it was found to contain technology that mimicked the passage of Earth’s technological evolutions – some older, blockier cartridges and devices had a similar design to Betamax cassette tapes and VHSs, all the way up to modern devices similar to touchscreen tablets, up to light-emitting devices that existed only in science fiction. Although each device also contained pictographic instructions on how to view them, and the satellite itself was designed to act as a power source for them, it nonetheless took weeks to un…
