• Minor update - spelling - 24 July 2026

  Hi everyone, this minor update fixes some small spelling errors and an incorrect menu option from the previous update.

• Update - fixed name and continue issues - 24 July 2026

  Hi everyone! This update fixes some recent reported issues: Soft Locks. Some players reported a soft lock where they couldn't click "Continue" or "Begin". This could occur when the game exited unexpectedly midway through. I've revised the way the Continue button works, so this should no longer occur. Changing Name. Some players reported that changing your name and pronouns in the menu screen after starting the game wasn't working. I've revised this and it should work now. If anyone still encounters bugs or issues, please let me know and I'll get them fixed up! And thanks again to everyone for playing :)

• Easier Full Restart Update - 23 February 2025

  Hi everyone, I'm happy to announce I've just pushed live an update to make it a little easier to wipe your save files and restart from the True Beginning of the game. The below text will explain how to do it. If you haven't played the game yet, don't worry about reading this! It will contain vague spoilers. How to reset your saves: Once you have reached a final ending sequence, press the number 0 or the letter O on your keyboard. This will open up a dialogue that will give you the option to wipe your saves and restart over again from the very beginning. You should know you're in a final ending when you cannot progress any further. Let me briefly explain why the game works this way. It was always my intention to make it a bit difficult to fully restart the game. The feeling of permanent loss is important to the core themes of the game, and having some friction here is meant to encourage…

• Toad Softlock Update - 25 April 2024

  Hi all, This is a quick fix to remove a bug where the Toad could become so offended by your actions that he softlocks your game, preventing you from continuing the story. This should no longer occur. But it is a valuable lesson never to underestimate the fury of a Toad scorned. Let me know if anyone encounters this issue again, or any similar issues! Cheers, Jack.
