Just Updated The Soul Passage team is dedicated to creating the best game possible. We are currently reworking the environment and mechanics to enhance the user experience for our players. During this process, we identified some flaws in the game and storyline, prompting us to redesign the narrative with more thoughtful logic. As previously promised, we plan to release Soul Passage in late 2025, assuming everything goes smoothly. Soul Passage is an action-packed 2D hand-drawn Metroidvania game that offers a unique experience for players. With features such as Fast-paced combat, solving puzzles, crafting, travelling, exploring, and progression, this game breaks the mould of traditional Metroidvania titles. Players are given control of the skill tree and the fate of the main character, Obligor , as they embark on an extraordinary journey through the Soul Passage, a soul realm filled with diverse planets, creatures , and an abundance of magical items and weapons to discover. The story of Soul Passage begins with Obligor , a warrior who has lost his family and village. Desperate for a chance to bring them back, he makes a deal with the Heartless Soul Keeper . In exchange for their resurrection, Obligor is given an impossible task: to gather the souls of his enemies and pass them through the Soul Passage . With the player in control, Obligor must navigate the diverse and treacherous realm of the Soul Passage to fulfil his obligation and bring his loved ones back to life. Soul Passage is a unique blend of RPG and Metroidvania elements, designed to immerse players in an in-depth gameplay experience.
