Hi detectives, Happy one year anniversary of Death Trick: Double Blind! This has been a long year for us and we have been busy since, but this is a good time to look back at this game. It was our first time creating a game world and characters from scratch, turning them from silhouettes to character sprites, to animations and CGs; turning them from vague age and job descriptions to fully fleshed-out characters with their own backstories, desires, fears, and hopes. We weren't just writing a case, contradictions and alibis, but also all the minor, memorable moments in their lives: the pebbles that sunk into the water, the ostrich racing on the highway, the doodles on a set of tarot cards, the engravings on the old puppet sealed away into a box...
