- A live event for the 30th anniversary of Another World on December 11, 2021! - 9 December 2021
The association MO5.COM and The Digital Lounge are honored to invite you to an exceptional live event on Saturday, December 11th at 6pm CET on the Twitch channel of MO5 in order to celebrate together the 30th anniversary of Another World (1991). To talk about this classic game that never ceases to inspire gamers and creators, we will of course be accompanied by its author, Eric Chahi, who was awarded the National Order of Merit in early May, and its composer and high school friend Jean-François Freitas. As Eurogamer turns 20, we thought, you know what? It's not all about us. It's also about the developers, the people behind the virtual magic that inspired the creation of Eurogamer two decades ago. Without the developers, we wouldn't be here. And so, we thought we'd ask a few of them (20, in fact!) to pick the games that defined the last 20 years, and see what would come of it. We approached a broad range of people, from top executives and legendary talent to tiny indies. We asked them to pick a game that defined the last 20 years, but left it up to them to interpret the question. - Another World out now on Xbox One, PlayStation version mysteriously delayed - 25 June 2014
The 20th anniversary edition of Another World was originally supposed to arrive today on Sony platforms. However, it appears that the game has been stealth delayed to a future date. Meanwhile, the Xbox One version of the PC classic was suddenly been released earlier today.

We heard rumblings of Another World coming to consoles a few months back, and now it's preparing to roll out. It's due on PlayStation 4 next week, June 25, and we presume the other consoles mentioned in the leak (PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, and Vita) won't be far behind.

The 1991 sci-fi adventure game Another World received a 20th Anniversary update a few years ago. That version appears to be expanding to many more platforms, as the German ratings board outed it for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, and Vita.

Hello everyone, Some people are experiencing a control issue with the game and we've launched an investigation about it. We think we found a good fix but before to release the fix to everyone, we'd like to involve people into a public beta in order to confirm that the fix works and doesn't create side effects. The fix is only available for the PC version and to get it, please follow the below Step: 1 - Go to your Steam Library. 2 - Right-click on Another World and select "Properties". 3 - Go to the "Betas" tab. If you don't have the tab, restart Steam. 4 - Select in the list "beta" to opt in and quit the "Properties" panel. Steam will update automatically the game with the fix. The public beta will be last until Monday 16th to be sure that everyone get the chance to test it. And please, leave a comment there to let us know if it works or not. Best, Thierry

Another World’s 20th Anniversary Edition is now available on Steam. In 1992, when I first played it, discovering something so beautiful and strange contained on two disks seemed like an act of science fiction in itself, and realising that I can now download the entire thing in about four seconds is astonishing. Eric Chahi’s enduring voyage is a masterwork of visual communication and companionship, and it has grown in my memory over the two decades since its original release. (more…)
