Rumours of a Metal Gear Solid announcement have been rampant, and they show no signs whatsoever of slowing down. As is typically the case with Konami, there’s been radio silence on the topic of whether we’ll be seeing a new Metal Gear game anytime soon. That said, Konami did recently revive Silent Hill, announcing that a remake of the cult classic, Silent Hill 2 , is on the way from Bloober Team. This goes to show that Konami is finally appreciating one of the prolific series it has had tucked under its belt, but will Konami show the same affections towards Metal Gear? Well, there’s been plenty of speculation that the company might do just that. Additionally, as of today, the voice actor behind Metal Gear’s Raiden took to Twitter to fuel rumours further. Read more
- New Final Fantasy 14 Raiden data centre goes live - Metal Gear Rising memes ensue - 6 July 2022
Some new servers recently went live on the European data centre for Final Fantasy 14 . Usually, this wouldn’t be hugely newsworthy, but with the reveal of the name of one of these servers - Raiden - a wave of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance memes have emerged as players of the popular MMORPG rushed to create new characters referencing the legendary Platinum Games action title. Several examples of like minded players flocking to the new server have been captured and posted on the Final Fantasy 14 Reddit page , with characters such as Senator Armstrong, NanoMachinezson,and JetStreamz Samuel meeting up in major player hubs only a few minutes after the server went live. A new patch for METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE went live this morning (3/7/14) to correct some of the most common issues as reported by internal teams and fans. Including: - Fixed issue where game would crash when resolution was adjusted at certain points in the game. - Fixed crash that would occur when no "C Drive" was found. Game no longer crashes, but saved data will not synchronize with Steam Cloud unless there is a "C Drive" on the system. - Fixed bugs where Armstrong would not drop Repair Nanopaste and would not trigger the final QTE when framerate was set to less than 60fps.
