Hey hey! It’s been a while since we last talked, and for good reason. Quite a lot has happened on our end, including the biggest news of all:We’re telling you everything here. Is Madgik Yarn Studio closed? That’s right, Madgik Yarn Studio has closed its doors. The company was liquidated in June of this year.Don’t worry, nothing will change for Vanova’s Stories. We managed to retain exclusive rights to the game, as well as its revenue.On your end: nothing changes. The new investigations will arrive as planned with a free patch. We sincerely thank you for your support and patience!Since the company’s status was uncertain, we were not allowed to work on the project in case its rights were bought out. Welcome, Inspectors. Long time no see! We're still alive and kicking, and we’re bringing a lot of big (and hopefully good) news. A bug a day keeps the dev away~ The first episode is still our main priority, but life is hard—and so is game development. We’ve encountered a lot of problems that naturally come with making a game. But our team is working really hard to bring you the best version of Vanova’s Stories! We also added a lot of juice to our various UI elements to give everything a bit more energy. Welcome, Inspectors. We are excited to welcome you at the start of this year, which promises many great things, the best of which is the release of the game (yes, really!). Tutorial The tutorial is complete. We are now in the debugging phase to ensure everything works smoothly for an upcoming demo. We’re waiting for the last issues to be resolved, like characters showing up where they shouldn't, before presenting it. Beginnings are always humble. Sound Implementation We have started implementing the various music tracks and sounds sent to us by our partner. We’ve chosen to use a dynamic sound system. Each inspector will have their own instrument, which will blend into the music as soon as they enter the room. Welcome, Inspectors. In this snowless winter, we present the various advancements of Vanova's Stories. Tutorial The tutorial is almost complete. All the graphical assets and narrative elements have been created and implemented. We’ve prepared everything to ensure our future inspectors are ready for action… Well, we hope so. A list of responsibilities right from the start. Investigation 02 The final designs of the characters have been completed, and their animations have been implemented. The missing elements include the backgrounds for the investigation and the programming of new mechanics. All of these will be added in the coming weeks. A new character with a peculiar detail. New Interactions in the first investigation We are in the process of integrating new features into the first investigation. Cooperation will be more essential than ever. Welcome inspectors. We're delighted to see you again. Despite the heat, we're making good progress. (but it's still hot as hell here). Menus and Feedbacks We've added feedbacks to liven up the dialogs. Given that you'll be reading (a lot), we're keen to keep them as lively as possible. We also add animations to menus. Whether it's a map that appears or a new item obtained, each will have its own behavior. We'll continue to add feedback to make the gameplay ever more satisfying. Episode 02 dialogues As well as adding juice to our various menus and dialogues, we're starting to work on the narrative and discussion trees for episode 02. Welcome inspectors. Whether you've arrived here by chance or have been looking for us, we're delighted to see you! We'd like to introduce you to the various activities you'll be carrying out as a new inspector. But first, a (quick) introduction to the studio. Madgik Yarn Studio is a small independent studio founded by 4 friends on a simple principle: Make fun games and have fun creating them. All collaborators are equal and make decisions together.
