All you many Scrooge McDuck fans will be pleased to hear DuckTales: Remastered has returned to Steam. Remember when it just kind of, went away, last year? It was pretty weird, Capcom told everyone it was getting delisted from all the digital stores, then they put it on sale for 75% off as a “farewell price drop”. They didn’t even give us a reason. DuckTales: Remastered is also getting a farewell price drop for 75% off before it's removed for purchase. The game will be available on Steam until approximately 4:59 PM on August 9th. Once the game is in your library, you’ll still be able to re-download it even after it’s removed, too. - DuckTales: Remastered is being delisted on digital stores starting tomorrow - 7 August 2019
Capcom has offered a warning to all potential purchasers of DuckTales: Remastered; the game is being delisted on digital storefronts, starting tomorrow, 8th August. Of course, interested parties haven't exactly been short of time to take the plunge previously. Developer WayForward's gorgeous reworking of Capcom's beloved 1989 NES platformer initially launched for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U all the way back in 2013. For those still on the fence, however, Capcom has one last offer up its sleeve as DuckTales: Remastered enters its twilight hours. A 75% discount is in play prior to the game's removal, and it's currently 3.95 on the Wii U eShop , 2.99 on Steam , and 2.49 on the Xbox Store (this version will work on Xbox One via backward compatibility support, as well as Xbox 360). Those hoping for a PS3 discount currently appear to be out of luck on the PlayStation Store. Read more

Everybody was excited about DuckTales: Remastered, the 2013 update of the hit NES platformer from 1998, until it actually arrived and we all learned an important lesson about nostalgia. It wasn't bad, really, just a little too faithful to its roots—"very much a 24-year-old game," we said in our review —yet lacking the touches that would enable players to enjoy the game as it really was, like an 8-bit mode or the original soundtrack. If you haven't tried it yet, you'll probably want to get to it very quickly, for two reasons. One, it's currently on sale on Steam for $4/£3/€3.50, which is a pretty great price. As if the return of one of 8-bit gaming’s most treasured titles wasn’t exciting enough news, the inclusion of Steam Trading Cards has given PC gamers yet another reason to yell “WOO-HOO!” from their cubicles today. If you’re new to the whole Trading Card thing, they’re like tradable achievements you can unlock simply by playing DuckTales: Remastered. Some cards are rarer than others, and certain cards you’ll have to trade via the Steam Community, but once obtained can be crafted into custom badges for your profile. This is splendid news, plus it’s hard to argue that this gels perfectly with Scrooge McDuck’s never-ending pursuit of treasure at any cost.
