The V1.0.15 update is a small patch that fixes an issue where trees, resources, and deer spawners could spawn inside mountains.
- Bridges - V1.0.14 Update Notes - 25 April 2025
Version 1.0.14 officially brings the previously beta-only Bridges update into the game, along with a few bug fixes. What's New? Bridges: You can now build bridges over lakes or bays to enhance decorative beauty or improve pathfinding efficiency. Bridges only require wood, and the amount depends on their length. Bug Fixes: Fixed a localization error in the Polish language where placeholders like {quantity} were shown instead of actual values (e.g., "Wood {quantity}" instead of "Wood 23"). Fixed an issue where the worker count in Orchards would be 3 instead of 1–2 when only one tile was placed. Fixed an incorrect display of book usage rates in schools. In the next update, I plan to add children to the game. Happy building!
- Bridge Update – Now Available for Testing on Beta Branch! - 16 March 2025
Hello everyone! I’ve been working on an update that adds bridges to the game, and it’s finally ready for testing! With this update, you’ll be able to connect small islands, cross over bays and lakes, and improve your village by shortening travel distances for villagers, increasing efficiency, and enhancing the overall look of your settlement. Before releasing the update to everyone, I want to make sure everything works smoothly. That’s why I’m using Steam’s Beta Branch to provide an early test version for those who’d like to try it out. If you’d like to test the new system and help me catch any potential issues, follow the steps below to access the beta update: How to Access the Beta Branch: Open Steam and go to your Library. Right-click on Settlements Rising and select Properties. Go to the Betas tab. Select bridge_update_beta from the dropdown menu. Wait for the update to download and…
- Predators Rework - Update v1.0.13 - 13 February 2025
Update v1.0.13 introduces a change to how predators function in the game. What’s Changed? Bear caves and wolf dens removed: Predators will no longer spawn from static locations on the map. Instead, like raiders, they will attack the village at set intervals from outside the map. Predator Attacks: Wolves and bears will now attack the village periodically. For the first 3 years, villages will be protected from these attacks. After that, attacks will occur every 2-4 years. However, these attacks can be completely prevented. if the village is fully surrounded by walls, predator attacks will cease entirely. Why This Change? Previously, bear caves and wolf dens spawned in specific locations on the map. If players destroyed them, predator attacks would stop permanently. If no caves or dens were near the settlement, wolves and bears would never attack, even after many hours of gameplay. Additio…
- V1.0.12 Hotfix Notes - 5 February 2025
The V1.0.12 hotfix includes several adjustments to dung haulers introduced in the previous update. Based on community feedback, I agreed that accessing fertilizer in the early game could be challenging. Therefore, the following changes have been made to dung haulers and waste management: Fertilizer production speed increased by 25%. Dung hauler cart capacity has been halved, making dung haulers empty their loads into the fertilizer pit more frequently. If there is no fertilizer in storage, dung haulers will no longer wait for their carts to be full. Instead, they will transport the first collected waste directly to the fertilizer pit. Instead of waiting for waste to accumulate up to 10, households will now dispose of waste once it reaches 5. This will introduce waste into the game earlier.
- Waste Collectors Rework - Update v1.0.11 - 5 February 2025
The v1.0.11 update is a small patch that reworks the functionality of waste collectors and fixes several bugs. What's New? Dung Haulers: Waste collectors are now called dung haulers. They no longer work directly at the fertilizer pit. Instead, waste accumulated in houses and livestock buildings is now collected by the villagers in buckets and taken to the nearest fertilizer pit or, if available, to dung hauler carts. Once a dung hauler cart is full, a dung hauler will transport it to the fertilizer pit. Even if there are no dung hauler carts in the village, waste can still be carried directly to the fertilizer pit, but placing dung hauler carts at key locations will prevent villagers from having to walk long distances. Dung hauler carts do not require any resources or construction to be placed, and each cart can be managed by one dung hauler. Dung hauler carts don't affect landvalues. T…
- Cheats - V1.0.10 Update notes - 31 January 2025
The V1.0.10 update introduces a cheat system for those who want to play the game in sandbox mode. Additionally, it includes changes to how the marketplace functions. What's New? Cheats: A cheat panel has been added to the game. To use cheats, you must enable them in the game settings. Once cheats are enabled in a save, you will no longer be able to earn achievements in that save, and cheats cannot be disabled again. You can open the cheat menu by pressing F6. Available cheats include adding/removing resources, adding/removing people, adding/removing animals, supplying resources to all constructions and completing them, removing the Fog of War, and triggering disasters like earthquakes, raids, plagues, and fires. What's Changed? Bazaar rework: Bazaar no longer generate gold. In the late game, gold is already easy to obtain, and the bazaar had little impact on gameplay aside from increasi…
- v1.0.9 Hotfix Notes - 29 January 2025
The v1.0.9 update fixes several bugs and introduces some changes for builders. What's Changed? Builders can now cut down trees and remove stones within the construction site. Previously, they had to wait for laborers to do this. Builders will no longer abandon their work due to cold unless their stamina drops below 50%. This change was made to improve construction efficiency during winter. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where leather could not be transported to leatherworks building for leather boat and winter cloak production. Fixed an extra indicator that sometimes displayed the other houses when clicking on a home. Fixed a bug where demolished houses' landvalue were still visible in the land value visualization. If no issues arise, in the next update, cheat codes will be added to the game. Have a nice day!
- V1.0.8 Hotfix Notes - 29 January 2025
The V1.0.8 hotfix fixes an issue where happiness from pants and shirts was not being calculated in the previous update. Now, the happiness provided by these clothing items is properly accounted for.
- Pants, Shirts and Dresses - v1.0.7 Update Notes - 28 January 2025
Version 1.0.7 is a minor update that introduces small changes and fixes a few bugs. What's New? 3 New Resources Added: Pants, Dresses, and Shirts. These resources are produced in the Textile Workshop. Instead of a generic "Clothes," these new items were introduced. Dresses are exclusively worn by women, while Pants and Shirts are only worn by men. Their effects remain the same as the old Clothes. The new Pants and Shirts resources will also apply to your saved games. If you have a large population in your village, be aware that villagers will immediately start demanding Pants and Shirts. Hide Coat Renamed to Winter Cloak: The name was changed to better fit the visuals, as villagers wear cloak-like clothing during winter. Shoes Renamed to Leather Boots: Since villagers wear boots, and this equipment provides protection against the cold during winter, "Leather Boots" was deemed a more acc…
- V1.0.6 Hotfix Notes - 27 January 2025
Version 1.0.6 is a small update that fixes a few issues. What's New? Added an upgrade button to the Wooden Defense Tower. Bug Fixes: Fixed an issue where a new archer was not automatically replacing a fallen one in the Defense Tower. Fixed a formatting error in the event log when a villager's illness was cured in German. Some players reported that firewood was no longer being transported to houses. Since I couldn't fully reproduce this bug, I added additional checks to firewood delivery tasks. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue. If anyone still experiences firewood not being delivered to houses, please report it.
- v1.0.5 Update Notes - 26 January 2025
The v1.0.5 update is a minor patch that introduces a few small changes and fixes some bugs in the game. What's Changed? The maximum production limit of 9999 has been removed. Previously, when gold exceeded 9999, the smeltery would stop producing gold. Now, production can continue beyond this limit. The initial builder capacity has been increased from 10 to 50. This change was necessary to allow for faster rebuilding of structures destroyed by earthquakes in the late game. In the future, this capacity may be increased further with a building like a Builder's Guild. The initial laborer capacity has been increased from 30 to 100. This change was made due to a high workload and a low number of laborers in the late game. Initially, the laborer limit was set at 30 to optimize CPU performance, but since no performance issues have been reported, the limit has now been raised. In the future, a b…
- v1.0.4 Hotfix Notes - 25 January 2025
The v1.0.4 minor patch fixes several issues: Fixed a formatting issue in the Stone wall requirement "Town center 2 required" message. Resolved the issue where "Personal Use" was not being saved. Builders will now prioritize rebuilding collapsed structures over repairing damaged ones after an earthquake. Improvements have been taken to prevent a rare crash that could occur when trading with the merchant. However, since I couldn't reproduce the issue, please continue submitting crash reports if the problem persists.
- Update Notes for V1.0.3 - 24 January 2025
The V1.0.3 update fixes several bugs while also introducing some changes to the game. What's Changed? The starting population and resources has been increased. Immigrants can now only arrive through ship exploration missions. When a migrant ship exploration mission is successful, it will always bring immigrants with a 100% probability. The birth rate per household per year has been increased by 30%. When an earthquake occurs and the notification screen is closed, destroyed buildings will now automatically be rebuilt. The red spoilage indicator in the top UI has been removed to reduce confusion and encourage players to read hover tooltips more. Bug Fixes: Fixed an issue where some Chinese words appeared in Korean. Fixed an issue where schools would not get repaired after an earthquake.
- v1.0.2 Hotfix Notes - 23 January 2025
The following issues have been fixed in the v1.0.2 update: Fixed an issue where leather production at the tannery was stuck at 30. Corrected a typo in the tavern building description where "bathkeeper" was mistakenly written instead of "tavern keeper." Fixed a crash that occurred when trying to select a saved enhancement card in a new game.
- v1.0.1 Hotfix notes - 22 January 2025
Hi everyone, I am incredibly grateful for the amazing interest you've shown in the game since its release. Thank you for your support. This update is a small hotfix addressing the bug reports received over the past couple of days. What's Changed? Fixed an issue where enhancement cards saved for future games were not appearing. Resolved the issue where clicking the workplace button in the villager profile did not move the camera to the villager's workplace. Additionally, this button is now hidden for villagers without a designated building, such as laborers and builders. Fixed an issue where scribes were not appearing in the occupation list. Corrected a typo in the sawmill building description. Added a fix for a specific scenario where the graveyard keeper could get stuck in an loop inside a grave. If you encounter this issue again, please report it. Fixed a UI issue where a part of the…
