• Follow our development progress on Trello - 21 April 2023

We are now operating a development task tracker, which records our completed and work-in-progress tasks on 1984. This page is entirely open to the public, so you can always see exactly what we're working on, where the game's at right now, and what's coming next. Right now we have environments for Winston's flat and the Ministry of Truth, and story for the first 3 chapters. Our next task is to get the story hooked up in-game, i.e. you can interact with the world to advance and branch the story, and we have placeholder voice. We're part way there, and it is starting to feel like an actual game for the first time. Follow along at: https://trello.com/b/bFwcTY1d/1984-development ❤️

• Announcing 1984 - 18 April 2023

Welcome to the Ministry of Truth. Our goal with this game is to create a detailed and authentic interactive adaptation of Orwell's book of the same name. 1984 is being developed by Tom Jubert, Sönke Seidel, and Jonas Bötel, founders of the Inner Party. We are currently working on a playable demo of the opening chapters. There will be a closed beta playtest of the demo before it gets released. Sign up for our newsletter to get invited to the playtest. 📬
