  Changes to the public matchmakerPlayers who join public matches will now be merged with other players more often. If a public game is waiting in the pre-start lobby with open slots, matchmaking can send you straight into that session instead of opening a second queue.Seeker replacementIf the Seeker leaves mid-match, a bot can now take over that role so the round continues for everyone else instead of ending on the spot.FixesTask progress toward opening the portal should now stay in sync for everyone in the match (bots no longer inflate the bar on non-host clients).Matches should no longer go over the 6-player cap.   We’re turning on bots in public matchmakingWhen the public queue is quiet, bots fill empty slots so you can get into a match instead of waiting forever. They play as Runners and Seekers - they do tasks, hunt, and can escape through the portal. This is an experimental, temporary rollout. We currently plan to keep it through the end of September 15. After that, we may turn it off, tweak it, or keep it depending on how it feels. Jump in, try a few matches, and tell us how it goes. Thanks for playing. Private lobbies stay unchanged.   Patch Notes We have reduced the number of server regions to improve matchmaking density and help you find nearby players faster. For those playing with international friends, we also updated the way private matches are organized for multi-region lobbies. Finally, a new host-selection algorithm is now active for both private and public sessions to ensure the most stable player leads the match. Current Plans We are aware of a bug causing a frozen black screen during the loading process. Our team is finalizing a fix for this behavior, which we expect to deploy within the next few days.

  No more need to invite friends to your lobby just to play a match! You can now find other players using our new matchmaking system. Simply approach the portal, ensure your game is set to Public, and hit Play. Once you're in the queue, a timer will appear at the bottom of your screen. Please note that public matchmaking is currently region-locked, meaning you will only be matched with players from your own region. We are already working on improving this!

  We have implemented improvements to the party module. We are aware that some players have been experiencing issues when inviting Steam friends to in-game lobbies for private matches. We have focused our efforts on resolving these issues to ensure a smoother experience. Please note that it is still currently impossible to join public matches. We are fully aware of this issue and are working to restore this game mode as soon as possible.

  Some players experienced issues when inviting others to their lobbies. Many were forced to restart the game to send invitations properly. We have deployed several fixes to the invitation system. Additionally, we've addressed a bug that prevented players from completing the tutorial. It should now work as intended.
