- Trading Cards are here! - 14 August 2026
Last week, we released the soundtrack for everyone who purchased the Supporter Pack / Deluxe Edition. And today, we've got something else for everyone! Starting now, you can earn Steam Trading Cards just by playing Final Sentence. Just to clarify, this isn't an in-game feature it's a Steam feature. In short, cards will occasionally drop while you play. Some people collect them, some sell them, and once you collect a full set of five, you'll be able to craft a badge. Crafting a badge gives you Steam XP, along with some Final Sentence themed goodies like profile backgrounds and chat emoticons. It may not be game-changing, but it's a fun little extra ːghlolː Have a great Friday evening! I'll be back next week with more news 🙌
- Final Sentence Soundtrack - 7 August 2026
It's been a little quiet around here lately. While we're working on something, I wanted to give a small surprise to everyone who bought the Supporter Pack or Deluxe Edition. Final Sentence Soundtrack, created by our awesome composer Anton "avispanf" Panfilov, should have appeared in your Steam Library yesterday! It also includes two extra tracks that aren’t in the game. I know you're waiting for something new and exciting in the game itself. While that's still in the works, we just wanted you to know that we're still here and working on things ːnecroheartː Thanks for all your support! ːnecroheartː
- 10 New Texts in Duel Mode - 3 July 2026
Another Friday, another text update! This time, it's a bit special. You may or may not know this, but pretty much all the texts available in the game up until now were written by our programmer, Aleksander. These 10 new texts, however, come from Alphyna - the writer behind the Pathologic series. Right now, these prompts are available in English and Russian, with more languages coming in the next few weeks. 🙌 Cheers 🙌
- Localization for 49 Prompts Is Here - 28 June 2026
Small update for our European friends: we've just uploaded translations for 49 texts - 23 for Battle Royale and 26 for Knockdown. Although many of these texts are cool, they won't help with the extreme heat we're having right now, since playing this game usually raises the temperature in the room. Sorry, that's the best pun I could come up with right now ːchuchelsmileː The new translations will be available in the game the next time you start it. Chill!eers!
- New Feature: Leagues - 22 June 2026
Good competitive week! Today at 00:00 UTC, a new feature landed in Final Sentence - Leagues. With that, the very first league season has started. Ok, so what are Leagues anyway, and how do they work? After you play your first match during the week, you will join a league based on your previous league results. This week, all players will be assigned to League Z. In total, we have 10 league tiers from Z to A (we skip some letters). Each league is for a maximum of 30 people. After the first Z bucket is formed, we start forming another one. So at any moment there are multiple league instances of the same tier. Each tier has its own settings for promotion and relegation. On average, the top 10 players are promoted, the bottom 5 are relegated, and everyone in the middle stays in the same tier for the next season. The season resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC. At that moment, promotion/relegatio…

- Indie dev earns Reddit love after telling people not to buy their game because it's going on sale soon - 27 May 2026
Final Sentence is a "battle royale typing game," which is a weird idea but also one that sounds like it might be kind of fun, at least if you can type reasonably well. We first heard about it in 2025, when PC Gamer keyboard showboat Harvey Randall took it for a spin , finding potential but also that it was "a tad undercooked" at the time... Read more.
- DON'T BUY THIS GAME - 25 May 2026
I want to make a short announcement about the upcoming sale so those who haven't bought the game yet can save a couple bucks for a coffee or a compressed air duster for your keyboard. Seriously, that thing is worth buying to clean years of dust and food crumbs out of your keyboard. Along with the start of the sale, we'll deliver an update with real-time leaderboards inside the game. Below you can see a sneak peek of it. There are also a few more small things coming during the sale: 🌐 Full localization of Knockdown prompts for all languages ♠️ Steam Trading Cards 🤖 Bots difficulty changes 🏆 And in-game Leagues later on 🖥️ New result screen 🎶 Game OST with two additional soundtracks not currently in the game, available for free to everyone who bought the Supporter Pack (or Deluxe Edition - I'm still figuring out how to set this up) I know all you really want is more players online. W…
- 15 new prompts for Spanish, German, French, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese - 1 May 2026
Another Friday, another little update. Two weeks ago, we added a large batch of texts in English. Today, our friends from The Most Games finished localizing 15 texts (across all game modes) into other languages, and they are already available in the game. We still have about 80 more to translate. We'll be releasing them gradually throughout May as they're ready. Since we're already talking about texts, here are some numbers and plans. As of today, there are 185 English texts in the game: 76 in Battle Royale, 55 in Knockdown, and 54 in Duel. We consider the text work complete when each mode has 100 texts - that's 300 unique texts total for the game. While translations are ongoing, we'll continue working on features from the roadmap. Also, our dear community members have been sending us their own texts to add to the game. We haven't reviewed all of them yet, but there were definitely a fe…
- Advanced Stats Update - 24 April 2026
We've just released update 0.6.6, which introduces Stats Notebooks. Go check out how you performed over the last two weeks! One important note about stats: we only record data from Quick Matches, not Custom Games, as this is the fairest way to compare performance. p.p.s. Patch notes will be posted tomorrow. Cheers!
- New Features Roadmap - 19 April 2026
It's been a little over a week since our hasty release (I'll explain the reasons for that someday). As you may have noticed, we've already delivered a couple of updates during this time, mostly focused on matchmaking stability. I'll start posting proper patch notes beginning with the next update. We've also added ~100 new prompts for English. The same prompts for other languages are on the way. The release of multiplayer isn't the finish line. It's just a milestone on the road to a (hopefully) bright future. Today I want to share what's coming over the next two months. The first feature, which I briefly mentioned in one of the previous posts, is Advanced Player Stats. We've been gathering your typing stats since the release, and starting next week you'll be able to check them in the main menu. There will be a notebook on the table with a bunch of parameters showing how you perform in ma…

- Final Sentence is on Triple-i - 19 March 2026
We are officially joining this year’s The Triple-i Initiative showcase on Steam! It all started a little over a year ago with a goofy idea. We couldn't have imagined how much you’d love it and how passionately you’d support us. It turned into a serious project that meant a lot to so many of you. Seriously, thanks to each of you who’s been with us and, left feedback, spread the word and believe in the game. Since the Final Sentence demo release, we’ve been working constantly on the game. Thanks to your feedback, it has improved significantly. We’ve added a ton of new content, deepened the gameplay, and created moments that make the game even more engaging. But… We’re saving these surprises for the game’s official release. Participation in The Triple-i is a huge milestone for us. We’ll be taking part in a major festival alongside top developers as part of an event dedicated exclusively to…
- Demo Final Days - 17 March 2026
As we approach the release (we're not yet ready to announce the exact date), a few changes will happen along the way. The first and most dramatic one is that we will disable the demo. You can still play it until this Friday at noon (UTC). After that, the demo will be permanently unavailable. The good news is that, alongside disabling the demo, we're launching very limited access to the Playtest (again). What is the Playtest? Well, over the past few months, we've been cooking up some new features for you, and we'd love to know if you like them (and whether they work at all ːchuchelsmileː). So, if you're not afraid of broken things or if you'd like to break things yourself you can request Playtest access now on 👉👉👉 the main game page: See ya!
- Feature Preview: Player Statistics - 15 March 2026
Hi, Brusnika here! This is the first of six-seven posts (not a joke) about upcoming features in Final Sentence. Some people come to the game to test their typing skills and maybe even improve them. While we're not entirely sure about the educational value of learning something with a gun pointed at you, checking your skill level might actually work quite well. To make this aspect deeper and to allow players to track how their skill changes over time - the release version of the game will include very detailed statistics covering all aspects of typing. Right now in the demo you can only see the most basic parameters, like average WPM or typing accuracy. In total, however, we plan to display more than 50 different metrics. These will range from which types of mistakes you make most often (wrong letter, missed letter, extra letter) and which words cause the most errors, all the way to your…
- Language, do you speak it?! - 2 March 2026
It's been a while, huh? Sup, Brusnika here! As we're getting closer to release, we want to talk about game localization and prompts. After the demo, some of you were incredibly generous and offered to help translate the game. Some even offered to write new texts and prompts. Sorry we've been quiet for so long! We've been busy working on new game features (and we'll be teasing them over the coming weeks). Now we're ready to focus on the in-game text and start accepting contributions from anyone who'd like to help. This is something new for us, and the results might be unpredictable - but we want to take the risk anyway. This should be fun! So, if you're interested in taking part, please check #📑│contrib-lobby channel on our 👉 our Discord server 👈. Or, if you don't use Discord but still want to help with translation, you can contribute directly 👉 on Crowdin 👈. That's the service wher…

- Important Information for Players from Russia - 28 October 2025
This news is intended specifically for players from Russia, so the detailed information is provided in the Russian-language version of this post. For the curious, here's a brief summary: in Russia, there's a special government agency responsible for blocking websites and online services - roskomnadzor. In recent weeks, some Amazon AWS addresses (where we host the game servers for Final Sentence) have been blocked, which has made it impossible for players from Russia to access the game.
