A small update for Broke Signal Badlands has been released, with the following changes and updates:A loading screen has been added to the main menu, when players choose the tutorial or start a new run.We've attempted to address player's frustrations with running into landmark encounters and having it reappear - there is a 10 second window where the collision is hidden when a landmark encounter is completed (pass a diceroll). This should hopefully cut down on some incidents where players run into the same encounter over and over again when leaving it.Fixed a bug with Shootouts where passing one shootout during a run would cause players to pass all shootouts after, even if they miss.Fixed several enemies having larger hitboxes than their actual sprite during shootouts.Shootout dodge window has been increased from 1 second to 3 seconds for enemies, giving players more time to take shots.Sh…

Broke Signal Badlands is now out and ready to be played! We hope you enjoy your trip to the desert.Also, a day 1 patch addresses some tiny bugs:Fixed an issue where attempting to back out of the Jackrabbit Cabin would result in a softlock.Fixed an issue where attempting to roll a dice when you didn't have any to roll resulted in a softlock.Fixed the Stats screen showing "Dice Til Dusk" instead of "Till Dusk" over the player's Time units.Depending on your OS, this should be no more than 315kb in size.

We are gearing up for release on Steam soon, which means that we now need a wave of players to play the game! It's hotter than the inside of a horse here, so what better time to play an RPG about driving randomly through the desert in search of enlightenment. The RPG in question is Broke Signal Badlands: A World of Desert Adventure , and yes, that's a very upbeat subtitle for a game in which you can perish after getting your hand stuck in the door of an abandoned Fonts Museum, or while yanking cacti out of your foot. There are gunfights, too, with dice serving as bullets, but so far, I've only managed to die of pathetic human error and clumsiness. Consider me unenlightened, but enthused. Read more

I've been hard at work cooking a new update for y'all, which is temporarily for free on Steam as part of Next Fest. A very big and very cool update for Broke Signal Badlands is now available: Music! Added a full soundtrack, with 7 unique tracks! More will be coming as we push updates. You can hear one in the new trailer. Gameplay Changes: Added Journaling system: Players now have the option to reflect on their days/nights before camping. This has an interesting effect on your camping experience and the ending you get, depending on what you think about most in the journal. Added new Camping transitions, based on your Journal choices.
