I've just released a new demo for Spooky Crew: Mask of the Mysterium. It shows off the all-new verb interface. I previously was using a simple one-click for all interactions style of interface. Why did I change it? 🦇 It allows more personality and jokes through additional dialogue and easter eggs. More opportunity for "juicy" game design. More stuff for the player to try. More character and world development. 🦇 I've received feedback from publishers and PR that the game wasn't clearly an adventure game in screenshots so adventure game fans would look past it. I've also had consistent feedback that nobody is going to touch adventure games, no one is going to buy one and I'm wasting my time making one. So 🤷 🦇 I just love the LucasArts classics and on reflection I liked the verb interface the best of all. I like how immediate is it, it puts the adventure gaming and puzzle solving right…
