You can access this version of Tormented Souls 2 as follows: Right click on the Tormented Souls 2 app in your Steam library and select ‘properties’. Click ‘Game versions & betas’ from the sidebar and select the ‘public beta’ from the list of game versions. Click ‘Installed files’ from the sidebar and click ‘verify integrity of game files’. Your game should now automatically update! This new patch includes more settings and controller options, plus minor bug fixes. If you encounter any issues while playing this version, please leave a comment on this post. Hi everyone, Just a quick update to share today as we've just pushed patch 1.5.0.11 live. This patch was created in response to an issue we discovered in the last patch whereby lighting and cutscene quality had been unintentionally reduced. Thank you to the community members who flagged this and apologies for the inconvenience caused. We've also included a few bugfixes for the Dr. Hertz fight that were still being reported, see below for the full changelog: Lighting & cutscene quality fixed. Following yesterday's release of patch 1.3.4 we were made aware that the fuse puzzle softlock was still persisting for some players. Thank you for your patience as we worked through all of your feedback and bug reports over the past few weeks 🙏 Following a short beta period we have now rolled out patch 1.3.2 which should address over 60 issues including the softlocks that have been frustrating players since launch. IMPORTANT: During the beta period we were made aware of two instances of persisting softlocks in 1.3.2: Issue 1: Sometimes the main cemetery (tomb dials) puzzle does not trigger correctly after it is completed. Solution: Ensure that you save in the Cemetery Office immediately after entering the cemetery area for the first time. If you encounter the softlock issue reloading the Cemetery Office save should clear the bug. I'm really glad we got Tormented Souls 2 . The first installment in the series is probably the most impressive homage to old-school survival horror that I've seen. Developer Dual Effect wears its inspirations on its sleeve; most notably those first three Resident Evil games, but with influences from several of the other best horror games of the era, including Alone in the Dark and Silent Hill. Tormented Souls is a game that clearly understood why those worked, embracing the limitations of the fixed-camera perspective and the inherent terror of the unseen that it creates.
