- Pellet Dodge & it's OST is on its DEEPEST Winter Sale! - 18 December 2025
Happy HolidaysIf you aren't battling the corrupted and saving space yet, the entry ticket fee is at its lowest during the Steam Winter Sale at 85% off (and the Soundtrack too, at 80% off.) which is the lowest values allowed before hitting invalid values for certain currencies. If you're already in the fray and taking on the Simulated OMEGA corruption, then feel free to get a copy for a friend-- especially since multiplayer features are coming in the future~!
- Launch Options now supported. - 15 December 2025
With the newest update adding support for all unity-supported rendering engines, that added the ability to use launch arguments to switch between them. Now, I've figured out and added launch options for you to easily switch between your preferred rendering engine for your performance or system needs.
- Version 1.2.0.0 is HERE! - 7 October 2025
Hello Everyone! As always, thanks for playing Pellet Dodge, and here's a fresh update:Major ChangesUpdated to Unity 6.2 (from 6.0), which effectively patches the newly-discovered security vulnerability. This may improve or impact performance, as extensive testing was not done.Added support for Vulkan and OpenGL rendering engines on supported platforms (Vulkan & OpenGL on Windows and Linux, OpenGLCore, for Intel Macs, on MacOS.) Use these for better power efficiency using '--force-vulkan' and '--force-opengl' launch arguments.Added the Music Pack system to Endless Mode, with a new pack included for free with a collaboration with Panduhh (and Various Artists for some songs) to bring some high-octane dubstep and drum 'n' bass to your infinite battle in the OMEGA simulation.Minor changes can be found in-game, if you care, in the Patch Logs menu.
- Dev Update 9/8/25 - 9 September 2025
Hey everyone! It's been a bit since the last Dev Update and... an Update in general. I've been honestly extremely burnt out on game development as a whole, but I'm starting to get back into the swing of things and the v1.2.0.0 update should be out this week. This is going to be a major step into the game, as it introduces a new Endless Mode Music Pack system for future collaboration...Overall, the update is complete. I'm just adding some finishing touches and hopefully will make an Update Trailer for it as well. That's all I have to report for now, but some major content is coming soon, and some new projects will begin forming!Catch ya later in the Corruption, Lyvri.
- Store Page Tags Updated. - 31 July 2025
Store Page UpdatesHey everyone! I’m just contacting for the sake of avoiding radio silence; I’ve updated the tags on the store page. Removed the Multiplayer and Remote Play Together tags, as proper multiplayer features (not the minigames) will be added in due time.Removed the Steam Input API tag— not that the game doesn’t support Steam Input, it just doesn’t utilize it like it should. In the future, proper support will be added which includes: Input Actions assignable to any input— not just rebinding buttons, and adaptive Glyphs; this’ll be like the current universal glyphs, but they’ll dynamically change depending on where the Input Action is called from. (Also PlayStation/Xbox controllers will eventually have their proper glyphs and not just the universal ones soon!)Added the Level Editor tag, since you can do that.Update Status ReportThe newest version is in development and will prop…

- Update v1.1.9.1 - 11 July 2025
Hello everyone! So sorry for the delay on this simple update, I've been spending a bit of time working on a Google Play release. But, v1.1.9.1 is finally out! - Pellet Dodge Google Play Version Releasing Soon... Help Needed! - 12 June 2025
Hello Everyone! First of all, thank you for purchasing and playing Pellet Dodge. It means the world to me that you're supporting me and possibly even enjoying my work that's taken a good chunk of my life to work on! Thanks to that, a new milestone of this game's life has been reached; an official Google Play Andoid release! However, it isn't exactly as easy as Steam's submission process is, since to even begin working on anything behind the scenes in Google Play Console, you need to first perform a Closed Test. That's great! How can I help? Well, this is where YOU come in! I need testers for this Test, and what better place to find them is right here with people who already know the game! If you're interested, please fill out this this Google Form to submit a request for access to the test.Since this whole process is manual, replies may take time, and keep in mind that space is limited t…
- Dev Update - 4/30/25 - 30 April 2025
Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well. v1.1.9.1 Progress Despite burnout, progress is being done. v1.1.9.1 is going to feature: some bug fixes Quality of Life improvements support for upcoming DLC (wink, blink) and improve the Steam Deck experience (on-screen keyboard will soon automatically appear when typing in input boxes and the game will actually render the game in 1280x800 instead of it defaulting to 1280x720 for some reason. This update should come out some time in May, but it's also going to be a very busy month for me between my birthday coming up and some academic events. Nevertheless, the update is coming out, and there will be more to come in the near future that won't be next year. The Future As always; here's a reminder that when v2.0 rolls out, the base price will go from USD$4.99 to USD$7.99 due to a severe increase in content. Now that that's out of the way, I wan…
- Soundtrack Updated! - 11 March 2025
Hey everyone, reporting this here since it's not possible for a Soundtrack to get news, but the Steam Soundtrack has been updated with the replacement of the old Base Game tracks to the new redesigned tracks introduced a few versions ago. The filenames of the tracks themselves have also been changed from the format of 'number - name' to 'disc.track - name' for be more clear for those who look for the songs through file names or if the file browser you use doesn't show metadata.
- v1.1.9 is here! - 25 February 2025
Hey infinite copies of #274! This is a big change, as you can see below. I greatly improved the game in so many ways so I hope you all check it out, especially if you haven't played in a while! -- Endless Mode 2.0! -- - Leaderboards are back now using Steam - Score now increases with enemy kills and score gained scales by how many enemies you kill in a Dash - Optimized tracking of DashKills -- Custom Level 1.5! -- - The Custom Level setup screen is now simpler and better - You can now save/load your custom levels as a preset in a physical file that you can share with others -- Thanks ATOMFACTOR for suggesting and finding these -- - Base Dash Cooldown has been reduced from 3 to 1 second - Minimum Dash Cooldown (from upgrades) has been reduced from 1 to 0.2 seconds - Coins now spawn every 3.5 to 6 seconds instead of every 10 to 14 seconds and now despawn after a flat 6 seconds instead of…
- Game + OST Bundle Adjustments - 23 February 2025
Hey there Ships, Here to notify you that the Full Game + Soundtrack bundle of the game has been improved. It's now a complete-the-set bundle, meaning you can now get the soundtrack at a discount if you already own the game, and vice versa. Price cut from 20% --> 25% off; This makes the total price a more even and better deal of USD$5.98.
- Development Update - 14 February 2025
Hey #274! This is regular contact on what's going on since updates are slower than ever. What's coming: Endless Mode 2.0 - New score system and minibosses with Endless-exclusive rewards. Leaderboards will now use Steam (mobile and upcoming console versions will use something else, unless Valve one day adds cross-platform support for Steamworks services.) What's the hold-up?? Short answer: Burnout. The worst enemy to all types of creators. I've just generally lost my motivation to do much in the Editor at the moment, since I've had to stare at pretty much the same stuff since 2021 (Wow, we're coming up to 4 years of total 'active' development!) so that takes a toll on how much you want to keep staring. The updates aren't difficult for me to do, they just honestly bore me. So, what about it? 1) Rude. 2) I'm gonna try my quickest to leave Pellet Dodge off at a state that I can fully leave…
- Testing Phase now available! - 23 January 2025
Hey #274, here's the latest info. Testing Phase (Beta Branch) is now available to play v1.1.9 early, which improves the Score system for Endless Mode and will soon incorperate Steam Leaderboards. To access it; Go to the game's properties by clicking the cog (or right clicking the game in the list if you use Small Mode) and then go to Properties. Then, Navigate to the 'Betas' section and select "pd_testing_phase" in the Beta Participation dropdown. (If it isn't there, I didn't set it up right or Steam just hasn't refreshed to reflect the changes yet.) After that, there you go! You can now play v1.1.9 (and other upcoming versions) early, at the cost of possibly experiencing more bugs than usual. if that happens, please report them to me in the comments or the forum!
- Change of Plans! - 20 December 2024
Hiatus of Multiplayer Hey everyone! This is an occasional dev update to prevent radio silence, but I have a somewhat upsetting announcement. I unfortunately have to break my promise of v1.1.9 being The Multiplayer Update. Turns out, making a by-design singleplayer game multiplayer is extremely difficult, and requires a lot of time and effort that I can't put in without taking forever and end up not meeting a lot of self-made deadlines for updates. So, for now, multiplayer is pushed onto the back burner while I try to slowly rewrite some parts of the game to better support multiplayer. Current issues that I had with the first attempt were: The input system was redesigned to only allow one type of input (keyboard or controller) at a time; with controller being auto-selected when controllers are enabled. The code is correct, but UI is still unusable with controllers, like it's not switchin…
- MysticalDeveloper's Unofficial Steam Deck Compatibility Info - 5 December 2024
Hello! Since PD is an unknown (gem?) game, Valve has yet to add information regarding compatibility of the Steam Deck. So, here's my own words to tell you: All content should work well using the default controller layout, as PD has had a long history of optimizations to controller support. (As long as I didn't bug anything.) PD shows generic controller glyphs, but they still apply to the Deck's layout. The game runs a flawless 60FPS at the Deck's native resolution of 1280x800. The game also defaults to run in the Vulkan rendering engine on Deck for improved battery life. The UI is legible. PD has had mobile and small screens in mind since Day 1, so all the text is nice and large, but not too big. The font may be hard to read for some, but there is an option to change the font in PD's Accessibility Settings.
- Status Report of 12/5/24 - 5 December 2024
Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of any updates and a bit of radio silence! I just want to report that I'm still working on update v1.1.9, it's just that progress is slow. Turns out that making a singleplayer game, by design, multiplayer isn't the easiest thing to do, but things are getting done! I can't give a complete estimate on when the update is out due to my inconsistent work motivation, but I'm hoping to get the update out before the New Year! Speaking of which, I want to talk a bit about things I want to do in 2025: Release update v2.0 which will contain a massive amount of new content for the Base Game and overall story structure fixing Release PD on at least one type of home console! Release PD on the Google Play Store for Android devices to officially play! Start work on Custom Level 2.0 (Better level creation experience and the ability to create large-scale levels and even u…
