- Moroi Adds Romanian Language Support - 5 June 2025
Moroi now supports the Romanian language with some additional fixes! To test it out, press the Settings Cog and head to the ‘Properties’ menu. Once you’re there, click the ‘Betas’ tab and opt-in to the ‘romana-romanian’ beta branch. Keep in mind, there may be some issues that we are not yet aware of, so your vigilance and feedback is extremely appreciated. For safety, make sure your save files are backed up, as there is potential for save conflicts between the Romanian and default branches of Moroi. I've been developing and working on Moroi for some time now, and we've finally almost reached the launch date. The feeling is complex, and it's of both excitement and wonder. Exactly what I've always felt since I entered the world of video games. There are also many battle scars beneath the surface, because making games is not hard, it's very hard. Before I started playing Moroi , I was only really aware of what a Moroi was through the context of Phasmaphobia . I was aware it was some kind of ghost, but I hadn’t really taken the time to properly look into its origins. So when I saw a game named after the spectre, I assumed it would be a spooktacular romp and in some ways I was right, but in many ways I was dead wrong. Moroi initially hooked me with a truly evocative aesthetic and a seemingly interesting gameplay loop. However, the longer I played, the more frustrated I became, and it started to become clear that an interesting look was really all the game had going for it. I honestly can’t remember the last time I bounced so hard off something I theoretically should have loved. It’s hard to talk about the story of Moroi because it’s one shrouded in intentional mystery, and to say too much will veer too far into spoiler territory.…
