- German Text Localization and Price Drop - 5 September 2026
Celebrating a bit more than a year since the release of A Doctor's Term, we're happy to finally announce the German localization of all texts in version 1.3 of the game! This turned out to be a bigger challenge than expected, so thank you all for your patience 🙌 How Does it Work? The game should detect a proper default system language. On German speaking systems it will detect German, otherwise English. In case you're not happy with the default language, it can be changed under the settings. Additional Fixes Fixed a bug related to reading letters, that caused the game to soft lock during the Sep 24 chapter. This bug was fixed thanks to the report of Darshana. Thanks a lot! Various visual bug fixes. Price Drop On top of that we decided to drop the price of A Doctor's Term after its first year of release! We want to thank everyone who supported us buying the game during the first year! T…

- Steam Deck™ Compatibility Guide for A Doctor's Term - 24 August 2025
We started testing our game on Steam Deck™ early on and found it to have decent performance while plugged in or docked. However, even though the game runs fine on battery, we also noticed that there are some performance drops that can be mitigated by tweaking settings. Therefor, we prepared this guide to help you get the best possible experience of A Doctor's Term on deck.Playing on BatteryRecommended SettingsFrame Rate Limit: 60Render Percentage: 80% (up to 100%)Why These Settings? The Frame Rate Limit will help with capping frames in high performing areas (e.g. during text dialogue sequences) which helps saving power. This will avoid your deck getting hot (or at least not hotter) during these parts of the game and it saves battery. The Render Percentage on 80% is a good trade-off on deck. It helps with performance, while still maintaining the visual appeal of the game. Anything below 8…

Improvements and fixes: Made UI more consistent in settings after resetting a settings section Fixed wrong button assignment of controllers for switching tabs in settings screen Added fallback feature for saving game and settings in case no Steam ID is found (this should technically never happen, but it's always nice to have save-guarding) and added appropriate info message in start menu in case this occurs
