- Minor Update 1.2.15: Steam Deck Compatibility - 27 January 2022
Hey everyone, This is a very minor update. It makes sure you can play Halfway on the upcoming Steam Deck from Valve. Please note: This does not add full controller support. We added a default controller configuration that allows you to play the game out of the box with the build in Steam Deck controllers without having to fiddle with the settings. We are excited for the Steam Deck and wanted to make sure you can play our games without issues when you get your hands on one. - Halfway Version 1.2.14 - 17 June 2019
Version 1.2.14 This patch adds bitmap fonts and tutorial images to the list of files which can be replaced/overridden by game mods. This is first utilized for Halfway简体中文汉化MOD by Steam user Karnie, which translates the game to Simplified Chinese.
- Pathway goes raiding for lost arks on April 11th - 5 April 2019
Indiana Jones-ish, Nazi-mashing tactical RPG Pathway is just over the horizon, launching next Thursday, April 11th. Developed by Robotality, it’s looking like a major step up over their debut tactics game Halfway . It appears to be a tantalising blend of FTL , Curious Expedition and cover-based, very XCOM squad combat – there’s exploration, bartering, party building and lots of RPG granularity, and five semi-procedural campaigns. It helps that it’s all wrapped in lush, well animated sprites and a very John Williams-inspired soundtrack. Check out the launch trailer below. (more…)
- Halfway Version 1.2.13 - 22 October 2018
Version 1.2.13 This patch adds a new toggle, "Enable auto-scroll on user actions", to the controls options menu. If turned off, the game camera stops scrolling on player actions such as selecting or moving team members, or attacking enemy units.
- Halfway Version 1.2.12 - 24 May 2018
Version 1.2.12 This patch updates the native launcher - the small executable we use to boot into the bundled Java runtime - to improve compatibility with some Windows 10 systems. It also removes 32-bit support from the launcher of the Mac OS version. In addition, we disabled the option to submit crash logs via HTTP request from within the crash report dialog.

We worked with Chucklefish on releasing Halfway and we couldn’t be more excited to work with them again on Pathway! Our plans are to release the game in 2018. - Pathway looks more than a bit like Indiana Jones: Tactics - 12 March 2018
Oh dear. All it takes is a screenshot of a rag-tag band of roguish heroes fighting Nazis out in some 1930s archaeological dig and I’m humming the sodding theme tune again. Pathway is the followup to XCOM-lite tactics game Halfway . Marsh Davies rather liked it in spite of its flaws back in 2014, so here’s hoping that developers Robotality (now being published under Chucklefish’s rapidly expanding indie umbrella) have taken a few notes over the past four years. Rather than continue building on Halfway’s sci-fi setting, Robotality are going back to a simpler time, when adventurers were rugged, maps doubled as travel montage scenes and Nazis were frequently shot, stabbed, clobbered and/or exploded even before they went and kicked over Poland.
