• Patch 1.3.3 - Steam Deck - 22 August 2024

  Added C++ dependencies redistributable alongside the exe to workaround the C++ issue on Steam Deck. You will be prompted to install the required dependencies when you try to launch the game on Steam Deck. Annoyingly, this will happen everytime you launch, you can resolve this by forcing compatibility tool to Proton 7. To do this, highlight Beyond Hanwell Teaser then Menu > Properties > Compatibility > Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool and select Proton 7. Steam Deck is still not fully supported, there may be unforseen issues that arise but I will continue to work towards getting Beyond Hanwell and it's teaser fully supported in the future. The settings I would recommend are: All Settings: Medium Global Dynamic Illumination: High Temporal Super Resolution: 50 (Alternatively you can use FSR on the Ultra Performance mode.) • Bug Fix - 30 July 2024

  Fixed a bug that would prevent picking up weapons when switch weapon was pressed but no weapons were available to switch. Fixed a bug that would prevent a certain type of Anomaly from taking damage.

• Hotfix 1.3.1 - 28 July 2024

  Fixed an issue that would prevent players from interacting after using the inventory. Cleaned up chained dependencies to improve memory usage.

• FidelityFX Update - 26 July 2024

  Added support for AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution and Frame Generation! It should be considered experimental at this stage but seems to be working great when testing. Please let me know if you experience any issues.

• The Real Final Update - 23 July 2024

  This will be the final update to Beyond Hanwell: The Royal Hallamshire. I wanted to bring the teaser in line with the full games current state for the Early Access launch next month. This should provide a good benchmark to test the game on your hardware and be sure the settings and features are in line with what you expect, to be sure you can make an informed decision if you are considering purchasing the full game. It is mainly quality of life improvements and performance optimization. All new menus with full controller support. Options to tweak how the game plays such mouse smoothing and quick turn can now be disabled or enabled as preferred. Added difficulty modifier settings. Added Audio Settings (currently, Overall, Music and UI settings are available, I'm working to add in game world sounds to this menu which will be in the EA launch of Beyond Hanwell). • Small Update 8 - 6 February 2024

  Just a small patch based off feedback from the demo. When interacting with something that requires something stored in the inventory, it will automatically be used with no need to enter the inventory. The unneccessary nanny prompts have been removed.

• The Royal Hallamshire Final Update - 5 February 2024

  The almost final update to the Beyond Hanwell: The Royal Hallamshire (bar small bug fixes and changes, DLSS is also planned). This update brings it in line with the Beyond Hanwell Demo that will be launched later today for Next Fest. Added 5 new weapons to find around the royal hallamshire. One of them a funny easter egg. Added 3 new enemy types to encounter. Replaced some of the written notes with voice notes. Enemy materials now react to blood flow, getting bloodier as they bleed. Tweaks to hit reaction to make combat a little more punchy and enemies more reactive to damage. Improvements to enemy AI and their retreat pathfinding. None consumable thrown items can now be retrieved and thrown again. Minor bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.

• Small Update #7 - 14 November 2023

  Added an option to turn off look smoothing, it is recommended you leave it on, but the option may help some people who experience discomfort with it. Added mouse and controller sensitivity options.

• Small Update #6 - 11 November 2023

  Added fallback area lights on the lowest graphical settings. This ensures that unlit areas are not pitch black when Global Illumination is turned off. Increased the battery life of the flashlight.

  Fixed an issue that would cause the player to be locked in a "Dead" state but not restart from a checkpoint. Added a failsafe in case the witch doesn't turn up, to ensure players won't get stuck in the theatre.

  Fixed an issue that would cause prompts to get stuck on screen. Fixed an issue that would cause settings menu to remain on screen after unpausing. Fixed an issue with some lights draw distance being too short when playing on medium settings.

  Added options for motion blur. Added options for in game guide icons (little circles that display over items of interest). They can now be turned off for a more immersive experience. Added a prompt to locked doors if the required key is not in you're inventory. Added an extra couple of batteries towards the end of the teaser.
