Nothing new this time — no need to open it if you’ve already played.Unity released a security update, so I’ve upgraded the Unity version accordingly. Thanks for your support!
- The final chapter is now updated, and the game is officially complete. - 23 April 2025
When I was little, I read The Little Prince. In the preface, the author dedicated the book to a friend who was hungry, cold, and in need of comfort. At the time, I found it strange — the whole world could read this book—why say it’s for just one friend? Later, I understood. When we create something, there's often a specific person we think of. While writing, it feels like we’re speaking directly to them. So, to a player somewhere on the other side of the world— This game is for you. I hope it brings you joy. While making it, I imagined someone who needed help was watching. If this work brought even a little light to you, I would be so, so happy. I hope your future is full of blooming flowers, cloud oceans, and the freedom to explore all possibilities. ---------------------------------------------- With this update, the final chapter has been released, and the full version is now live. - Added Chapter 11. - 15 April 2025
Just updated another chapter—one more update, and I’ll be ready to publish the full version. The final chapter is from the little bunny’s perspective. It’s about how to take care of a friend who is going through a fragile time. Sometimes, when I’m emotionally drained, I take a break and work on something else for a while. I’m afraid that if I write while feeling too low, the story won’t come out right. Creation is also a way of saying goodbye. Along the way, I’ve thought of many, many people I’ve met in life. Some lucky people grow up and fly off like birds to explore the world. Others stay frozen where they were, hurt by inner wounds—some even hide on purpose, so their old friends can’t find them. Some people stay forever at a certain age. This is a tribute to those I once saw, and remember. I’ve done my best to make changes based on everyone’s suggestions. I also revised the text wher…
- Updated Chapter 2 to fix some confusing parts - 7 April 2025
Updated Chapter 2 to fix some confusing parts (about medication and “doing nothing”). Thanks to your thoughtful comments, I realized certain sections could be misunderstood. Now Chapter 2 has two good endings, and an extra illustration page was added to highlight the positive effects of medication. The cover is a screenshot from the updated Chapter 2 — Pig lying peacefully in a field of flowers. Also adjusted some parts in other chapters, and swapped the order of Chapters 9 and 10. Replied to some player feedback — thank you so much for your detailed messages, they were incredibly helpful. Huge thanks again! With your support and feedback, this little mental health storybook keeps getting better and better. Thank you, thank you! I truly appreciate all your comments!
- Added Chapter 10. The game is planned to have 12 chapters, only 2 more to go! - 1 April 2025
🔹New Chapter Added Chapter 10. The game is planned to have 12 chapters, only 2 more to go! Many parts were written and even more were cut. After careful consideration, 12 chapters are enough to cover all key points. You can explore related books for deeper insights. I guess some of you want to read the whole story in one go. So I decided to release the game when it's 90% complete (Chapter 9), allowing for interaction and feedback on the final chapters. This way, you can experience most of the story while still having room for collaborative improvements. 🔹Bug Fixes Fixed some bugs and adjusted parts of the story. If any previous chapters seem unclear, feel free to leave comments—I can still make changes. Fixing issues now is much easier than after the project is completed. 🔹About Knowledge Points Some players felt that there's too much information, making it hard to stay immersed. I’v…
- Update: You can now adjust the font size! - 22 March 2025
I got feedback asking for adjustable font size. I wish I had thought of it earlier! But better late than never — I had to go back and add components to all the UI elements, setting minimum and maximum font sizes. I tested it, and it looks good so far. If you spot any bugs with the font scaling, please let me know! I also tested it at 800x600 and adjusted some UI background colors to improve readability on smaller screens. If you’re wondering why I didn’t add this from the start… This is a common rookie mistake. When designing, you focus on making things look perfect on your screen — but forget that users have different screen sizes. Some designs are hard to read on small screens. Practicality matters more than aesthetics. I removed some decorative elements that blocked text on small screens. Now it should display clearly even at 1024x768 and 800x600. Let me know if you find any other is…
- New chapter added.Early access is now available. - 20 March 2025
• New chapter added. • Early access is now available. 📖 Story Progress We’re now at Chapter 9—just a few more chapters to go before the story ends. This game explores the theme of psychological trauma, so I’m not expecting a large player base. Once I finish this, I’ll likely move on to my next project. If there’s a specific theme you’d like to see explored, feel free to leave a comment! Creative work depends a lot on the right mindset. To create this project, I’ve read many books and had countless conversations. I’m still immersed in this mindset, but once I start the next project, I might not be able to reconnect with this feeling. Now I understand why some sequels feel disconnected from the original—it’s hard to capture the same mindset after time has passed. 💌 For Future Players If you’re reading this from the future, please don’t feel sad. There are so many similar projects out th…
- After Pig escapes, the humanoid monster continues to stalk and harass. - 4 February 2025
Added a new chapter: After Pig escapes, the humanoid monster continues to stalk and harass. Childhood trauma leaves deep scars on the brain. Many who escape bad environments live in constant fear, worried their happiness could vanish at any moment. Writing the story was fun, but implementing it was a struggle. Once the plot was set, designing scenes was fast, but making it all work in Unity was painful. I relied on online assets and Unity Store models, but the art process is still exhausting. Writing feels easier—no matter how vast the world, it’s just a few lines of text. The project has been upgraded to Unity 6, which caused a lot of fixes. The cameras all broke, and I had to redo them one by one... not hard, but repetitive enough to feel like sleepwalking. I didn’t realize I had made so many camera setups—but rewatching them was quite fun.
- Pig adjusting to a new life after escaping the monsters. - 22 December 2024
Pig adjusting to a new life after escaping the monsters. In this new chapter, I especially love the scene where Pig and Bunny lie in a field of flowers, gazing at the sky. It's already updated in the demo, so you can check it out right away.
- Added two more chapters: Emotional Manipulation and Distorted Beliefs. - 20 November 2024
Added two new chapters: Emotional Manipulation by the Monster Before Leaving Past Misbeliefs Preventing Pig from Making New Friends After Leaving -----The following is just for chatting.------------ Player data shows very few people have tried the game, but I’ll keep working on it to the end ♪( ´θ`)ノ I truly love this storybook (it’s more of a storybook than a game, really). While creating it, I spoke with many people who’ve experienced trauma and read countless psychology books. Maybe, just maybe, this story might resonate with someone. If you’re one of those people who enjoys the story, I’m so glad. I poured my heart into this project, hoping to bring some joy to you. To remind you that someone cares, that the world can be better, and that you can leave toxic environments to find freedom and happiness. That’s all for now. 🌱
- Updated the UI and simplified the text. - 5 November 2024
Thanks to early player feedback—it was super helpful. Followed suggestions, fixed bugs. Big thanks to everyone!
- The demo is now available for download! - 1 November 2024
It’s hard to believe a year has flown by. The game has been revamped multiple times, and if you’ve seen earlier previews, this is a completely new version. With creative work, it's easy to feel stuck, seeing no progress while rethinking ideas over and over. Unlike physical work, where you can track your progress, here it feels like endless spinning in circles. Making this game was tough, but I got through it. Many who are trapped by trauma appear fine but struggle day and night, reliving old wounds even in a safe environment through emotional flashbacks. I wanted to create something to help others break free, and this game is one attempt. If you’re coming from my last game, this one has a completely different style! No pressure if it’s not for you; there are many great games out there. But if you enjoy it ♪( ´θ`)ノ please leave me a message! Developing solo can feel isolating, and any fe…
- Changed the previous gameplay, took a new direction. - 16 June 2024
I have repeatedly making demos and then scrapping them multiple times. After nearly reaching the breaking point, I finally found inspiration for the new game!! Now I'm happily continuing the development. I've also updated new game screenshots. The new game focuses more on storytelling and reduces the animation parts, making the overall art aspect more manageable. That's about it. It's really nice to finally have some progress to show. It was truly frustrating when I had to keep revising and scrapping previous ideas, leaving progress at zero.
- UI, Pig's home - 14 December 2023
finished a demo, UI, and Pig's home.
- The bunny can collect items and activate objects. It can also inspect assets. - 28 October 2023
The bunny can collect items and activate objects. It can also inspect assets. I attempted to have an item strike the bunny, and the poor little creature soared like a capsule, colliding with various objects and rolling all over the place. It was genuinely amusing. Initially, I considered using ragdoll physics, but when the bunny lay motionless on the ground, resembling actual death, it was just not right... (I won't share that image). Quite sad... So, I chose to craft our own animation. There's no mistaking the bunny's animation for death. So, I explored various approaches to achieve the desired styles.
- Finalized scene of the bunny setting off in the grassy meadow. - 7 October 2023
After trying a few different methods, I've finally settled on the character's movement style and camera control. It's going to be a 3D world with a side-scrolling view. The camera can tilt up and down but not left or right. This is one of the scenes where Bunny sets off to find Pig. I really like the way the grass sways in the wind. It's beautiful.
