• Minor Update - 27 May 2025

  Minor fixes to a few bugs, in particular order cards that activated units incorrectly (or did not activate the maximum number). Games in progress will not be affected by the update (and can therefore be continued), but to benefit from the fixes, it is necessary to start a new game. Apart from these small corrections, the Dien Bien Phu designer remains focused on work for the huge NATO update. Thank you for your attention.

  First of all, we'd like to thank you for the warm welcome you've given the game, with some great sales! And we're glad you like it! Initial feedback has enabled us to improve the game, with some rebalancing and bug fixes: French tanks used by the AI will no longer wander all over the battlefield map; Connections between different sectors (regions) have been slightly transformed in some places, notably with the creation of a ford connection, enabling the AI to better manage the troops under its command, while conferring greater fluidity of movement to the units available to players; Playing card corrections; Correction of a minor graphic bug on the battlefield map; Two additional option cards for the Viet Minh player in the hypothetical campaign (giving the Viet Minh player two extra regiments against Dien Bien Phu).   Some important news for you Loyalty This Summer SGS Taipings will receive a major update, with the most important Loyalty system (which already works in SGS We The People) part of its design. The loyalty system is a major change in gameplay, as you no longer just go through a region and take it for you: if the region is loyal to the other side, you need to maintain military presence over time to "rule" it, otherwise it will return to its original owner. Disloyal regions will allow your opponent to build units, so you cannot leave them unguarded. Also, retreat in regions loyal to you will be allowed, even if just captured by the enemy. Loyalty will also affect income (a region 50% loyal to you will bring only half income), and fog of war: you can see all details of enemy forces in regions that are stringly loyal to you...
