  • Coreless 0.6 Major Update - 8 June 2026

Hey all!Firstly, thank you very much for your patience. This has been a really lengthy development cycle that lasted for several months, and we truly appreciate your support during this stressful period of time.We are finally able to announce the 0.6 Major Update! Before getting into the full details, there is one important note: because 0.6 changes a large part of the game’s underlying systems, old player saves unfortunately cannot be safely carried over to the new version. This means existing saves will be reset with the 0.6 update. We know this is not ideal, especially for players who spent time with the older versions of Coreless. As a thank-you to all old players, a Classic Player Reward will be granted to everyone who played before this update. This reward includes 5 permanent bonus Talent Points reserved for Classic Players and 2,000 Printed Circuit to help you get started with the…

  • Devlog 2: Upcoming Major Update Preview - 23 November 2025

Hello everyone! We wanted to share a proper update on what we’ve been working on for the next major patch.New Equipment SystemWe are replacing the current Addon system with a full Equipment system. The old Addon system had some strengths, such as collection value and flexible build options, but it also created friction. It wasn’t intuitive enough, it required a lot of management, and its purpose wasn’t always clearly communicated. At the same time, we wanted to move certain early-game build choices out of the run and into meta progression, so players can shape their playstyle before a session starts. Equipment suits this goal very well. The new system works more like a typical ARPG setup. Gear can have affixes, unique effects, legendary tiers and sockets. Sockets will take over the full functionality of the existing Addon system. Equipping gear will also change your character’s appearance…

  • 0.52 Major Content Update - 24 September 2025

Hello everyone,Thank you so much for your patience—this update turned out far bigger than we first expected, and we’re really excited to finally share it with you! Our main goal with this update is to make Coreless’s battles feel sharper, more dynamic, and more rewarding, while simplifying systems that previously cluttered the moment-to-moment experience. 1. Map ProgressionThe progression system has been fully revamped. Coreless now features shorter, mission-based gameplay tied together with a structured map. Completing each mission node unlocks tougher challenges, along with new powers and characters. Missions have also been redesigned to feel more engaging and focused.2. Session ProgressionThe session experience has been overhauled to put more focus on slaying monsters and building your run. You now gain experience by defeating enemies, completing objectives, and taking on challenge e…

  • Devlog 1 – Upcoming Major Update Preview - 8 August 2025

Hey all, happy weekend!Just a quick update on what we’re working on and the thought process behind some of the major upcoming system changes. From the initial launch feedback, we’ve identified two main takeaways:Confusion around game mechanics and a lack of progressive onboarding. The current structure feels a bit chaotic — key systems like Mechanical Cores, Overdrive, Consumables, and Cyphers are all introduced at once, without a smooth ramp-up. This results in several issues: gameplay can feel unforgiving, core mechanics may be unclear, and the pacing of content, addons, and unlockables feels uneven. Strong, engaging moment-to-moment gameplay once players “click” with the mechanics. When players push past the early confusion and start using key systems as intended, or when the game loop naturally flows for them, the experience becomes very fun and rewarding. On the first point — we don’…

  • Hotfix 0.513d - 25 July 2025

Fixed a bug where Luminaire’s Radiant Bolt was not properly collecting Light Steps. Related Light Step upgrades have also been adjusted to improve effectiveness.Added a new path upgrade: Flame Burst. Rebalanced some underused consumables to make them more versatile and effective. MetalGunner is now unlocked by default and no longer requires a questline. While we still like the idea of unlockable characters and addons, we felt that making MetalGunner available from the start helps reduce early-game friction. As new content and characters are introduced, we plan to make better use of quest-based unlocks. Font revamp: improved readability across most in-game texts. UI improvements to the Tick system. Various text and description updates. Thanks for your time! For more details on our current backlog and in-progress items, check out our August WIP thread here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/…

  • Soundtrack Update 0.513c - 24 July 2025

We're starting to replace the background music in Coreless as part of a licensing change. The current tracks were from Music Vine — they served us well during early development, but their setup around Content ID isn’t ideal for game development, so we’re switching over to music packs that are more indie-game friendly. This swap is also part of a broader update to the game’s overall look and feel. We plan to make more changes to the UI, audio, and other presentation elements as we gradually shape the final tone of Coreless. Changes like this will usually be posted under the hotfix section, since they don't add new content directly. You can check our current WIP items: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2597020/discussions/0/597407115483628357/Thanks for sticking with us!P.S. For streamers and video creators — the new music setup should avoid any copyright claim issues.

  • Hotfix 0.513b - 21 July 2025

Memory and CPU optimizations that may improve performance on certain systems. Some assets were updated as part of this process, so the patch size may be larger than usual. We’re continuing to investigate and streamline performance bottlenecks in other areas.Fixed an issue where Metal Gunner could not hit certain monsters in Stage 1.Reduced the Skyrapter Swarmlord’s attack range and speed, as well as the duration and effect of its movement-slowing debuff.

  • Hotfix 0.513a - 20 July 2025

Patch NotesFixed inconsistent descriptions related to the old difficulty settings.Increased the sell value of upgraded addons — now you can reclaim 75% of the used Printed Circuits instead of 50%.Disabled Stage 3’s wave spawns during the boss fight. (The boss can still summon minions, but fewer now, as wave minions will no longer appear.)We’re also working on a performance optimization patch, scheduled for release tomorrow. Thanks!

  • A Patch, a Thank-You, and Devlog 0 - 19 July 2025

Thank YouHey everyone,Thank you all for joining us in this very early stage of Coreless's development. Your support during the first week has been incredibly heartwarming and encouraging.Coreless launched in a minimal but functional state — something closer to the old-school spirit of Early Access. As a small team, this approach allows us to stay nimble, avoid building in a vacuum, and grow the game with players, not ahead of them.Of course, this approach comes with risks, especially in today’s competitive landscape where most EA titles are polished and well-funded. That’s why we’re deeply grateful to everyone who chose to dive in despite the game’s rough edges — your early support truly means the world to us.We’re committed to making Coreless the best version of itself. Not just because of your backing, but because there’s a lot we want to express through this game.Coreless gives us a…
