- Beta Version 1.18 - 25 April 2024
Shapes Shapes come in two forms, ellipses and rectangles. From these, you can make circles and squares. The shapes give you the ability to change the border and the fill colors of the shape. The shape is 'placed' in its artboard, and more specifically, its owning layer, by rasterizing it. Lines Lines also come in two forms, linear lines and Bezier lines. Linear lines are lines that connect two points, drug out using the line brush. Bezier lines are created by dragging out two endpoints, and then adding an arbitrary number of control points. The control points are used to determine the curve and shape of the Bezier line. Both types of lines color and thickness can be controlled in the editor. Bug Fixes A variety of bugs were fixed, mostly relating to memory leaks. In addition, a race condition which would cause the application to fail to close in many situations was fixed, or at least hi…
- Beta Update 1.17 - 16 February 2024
Beta 1.17 UI Themes UI themes are now available. You can select them in the Options drop down menu. You can also create your own if you launch in debug mode. Variable Palette Sizes When creating projects, you can choose the dimensions in pixels for palettes for your projects. Previously, they were always 256 pixels in width and height. This is the maximum they can be, but results in about 65,500 pixels in the palette, which is very likely much more than needed, so most times your palettes would be wasting VRAM. You should still choose a fair size for your palette however, because there is currently no way to resize it. Bug Fixes Palette related bugs with RGB and Grayscale projects are gone. There was a random string of text in a menu that embarrassingly got left in the menu. It was related to the variable palette sizes. Now the string of text makes more sense. Not exactly a bug fix but…
